  • Jeremiah 23:5 - “Look, the days are coming”  — this is the Lord’s declaration — “when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.
  • Jeremiah 23:6 - In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. This is the name he will be called: The Lord Is Our Righteousness.
  • Matthew 1:1 - An account of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham:

  • Amos 9:11 - In that day I will restore the fallen shelter of David: I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old,
  • John 6:68 - Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of eternal life.
  • John 6:69 - We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.”
  • Ezekiel 34:23 - I will establish over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will shepherd them. He will tend them himself and will be their shepherd.

  • Matthew 16:14 - They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
  • Matthew 16:15 - “But you,” he asked them, “who do you say that I am?”
  • Matthew 16:16 - Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
  • Matthew 16:17 - Jesus responded, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven.
