Jeremiah 2:19 - Your wickedness will bring its own punishment. Your turning from me will shame you. You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to abandon the Lord your God and not to fear him. I, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!
Job 21:13 - They spend their days in prosperity, then go down to the grave in peace.
Job 21:14 - And yet they say to God, ‘Go away. We want no part of you and your ways.
Job 21:15 - Who is the Almighty, and why should we obey him? What good will it do us to pray?’

Jeremiah 2:13 - “For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!
Amos 6:3 - You push away every thought of coming disaster, but your actions only bring the day of judgment closer.
Amos 6:4 - How terrible for you who sprawl on ivory beds and lounge on your couches, eating the meat of tender lambs from the flock and of choice calves fattened in the stall.
Amos 6:5 - You sing trivial songs to the sound of the harp and fancy yourselves to be great musicians like David.
Amos 6:6 - You drink wine by the bowlful and perfume yourselves with fragrant lotions. You care nothing about the ruin of your nation.
Amos 6:7 - Therefore, you will be the first to be led away as captives. Suddenly, all your parties will end.
2 Chronicles 33:1 - Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years.
2 Chronicles 33:2 - He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, following the detestable practices of the pagan nations that the Lord had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites.
2 Chronicles 33:3 - He rebuilt the pagan shrines his father, Hezekiah, had broken down. He constructed altars for the images of Baal and set up Asherah poles. He also bowed before all the powers of the heavens and worshiped them.
2 Chronicles 33:4 - He built pagan altars in the Temple of the Lord, the place where the Lord had said, “My name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”
2 Chronicles 33:5 - He built these altars for all the powers of the heavens in both courtyards of the Lord’s Temple.
2 Chronicles 33:6 - Manasseh also sacrificed his own sons in the fire in the valley of Ben-Hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger.
2 Chronicles 33:7 - Manasseh even took a carved idol he had made and set it up in God’s Temple, the very place where God had told David and his son Solomon: “My name will be honored forever in this Temple and in Jerusalem—the city I have chosen from among all the tribes of Israel.
2 Chronicles 33:8 - If the Israelites will be careful to obey my commands—all the laws, decrees, and regulations given through Moses—I will not send them into exile from this land that I set aside for your ancestors.”
2 Chronicles 33:9 - But Manasseh led the people of Judah and Jerusalem to do even more evil than the pagan nations that the Lord had destroyed when the people of Israel entered the land.
2 Chronicles 33:10 - The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they ignored all his warnings.
Jeremiah 2:31 - “O my people, listen to the words of the Lord! Have I been like a desert to Israel? Have I been to them a land of darkness? Why then do my people say, ‘At last we are free from God! We don’t need him anymore!’
Isaiah 56:12 - “Come,” they say, “let’s get some wine and have a party. Let’s all get drunk. Then tomorrow we’ll do it again and have an even bigger party!”
Proverbs 21:20 - The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.
Isaiah 1:4 - Oh, what a sinful nation they are— loaded down with a burden of guilt. They are evil people, corrupt children who have rejected the Lord. They have despised the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.
Isaiah 30:11 - Forget all this gloom. Get off your narrow path. Stop telling us about your ‘Holy One of Israel.’”
Psalms 73:27 - Those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you.
Psalms 10:4 - The wicked are too proud to seek God. They seem to think that God is dead.
Psalms 10:5 - Yet they succeed in everything they do. They do not see your punishment awaiting them. They sneer at all their enemies.
Psalms 10:6 - They think, “Nothing bad will ever happen to us! We will be free of trouble forever!”
Isaiah 22:13 - But instead, you dance and play; you slaughter cattle and kill sheep. You feast on meat and drink wine. You say, “Let’s feast and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
Luke 15:30 - Yet when this son of yours comes back after squandering your money on prostitutes, you celebrate by killing the fattened calf!’
Romans 13:13 - Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy.
Romans 13:14 - Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.
1 Peter 4:3 - You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.
1 Peter 4:4 - Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.
Luke 16:19 - Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury.
Ecclesiastes 11:9 - Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.
Ecclesiastes 11:10 - So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.
Luke 16:1 - Jesus told this story to his disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a manager handling his affairs. One day a report came that the manager was wasting his employer’s money.
Proverbs 21:17 - Those who love pleasure become poor; those who love wine and luxury will never be rich.
Proverbs 23:19 - My child, listen and be wise: Keep your heart on the right course.

Proverbs 28:7 - Young people who obey the law are wise; those with wild friends bring shame to their parents.
Proverbs 29:3 - The man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but if he hangs around with prostitutes, his wealth is wasted.
Jeremiah 2:5 - This is what the Lord says: “What did your ancestors find wrong with me that led them to stray so far from me? They worshiped worthless idols, only to become worthless themselves.
