  • Leviticus 17:15 - “And if any native-born Israelites or foreigners eat the meat of an animal that died naturally or was torn up by wild animals, they must wash their clothes and bathe themselves in water. They will remain ceremonially unclean until evening, but then they will be clean.
  • Leviticus 17:16 - But if they do not wash their clothes and bathe themselves, they will be punished for their sin.”
  • Leviticus 16:28 - The man who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe himself in water before returning to the camp.
  • Numbers 19:12 - They must purify themselves on the third and seventh days with the water of purification; then they will be purified. But if they do not do this on the third and seventh days, they will continue to be unclean even after the seventh day.
  • Numbers 19:13 - All those who touch a dead body and do not purify themselves in the proper way defile the Lord’s Tabernacle, and they will be cut off from the community of Israel. Since the water of purification was not sprinkled on them, their defilement continues.
  • Numbers 19:7 - “Then the priest must wash his clothes and bathe himself in water. Afterward he may return to the camp, though he will remain ceremonially unclean until evening.
  • Numbers 19:8 - The man who burns the animal must also wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and he, too, will remain unclean until evening.
  • 2 Corinthians 7:1 - Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.
  • Numbers 19:19 - On the third and seventh days the person who is ceremonially clean must sprinkle the water on those who are defiled. Then on the seventh day the people being cleansed must wash their clothes and bathe themselves, and that evening they will be cleansed of their defilement.
  • Numbers 19:20 - “But those who become defiled and do not purify themselves will be cut off from the community, for they have defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. Since the water of purification has not been sprinkled on them, they remain defiled.
  • Numbers 19:21 - This is a permanent law for the people. Those who sprinkle the water of purification must afterward wash their clothes, and anyone who then touches the water used for purification will remain defiled until evening.
  • Ephesians 5:26 - to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.
  • Ephesians 5:27 - He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 - This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
  • John 15:3 - You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
