Josua 24:32 - Die Israeliten begruben auch Josefs Gebeine, die sie aus Ägypten mitgeführt hatten. Man bestattete sie im Gebiet des Stammes Josef bei Sichem, auf dem Feld, das Jakob von den Nachkommen Hamors, des Vaters von Sichem, für 100 Silberstücke gekauft hatte.
Jeremia 7:12 - Geht doch einmal zur Stadt Silo, wo früher mein Heiligtum stand. Schaut euch an, wie ich es damals zerstören ließ wegen der Bosheit meines Volkes Israel.

2. Könige 10:14 - Da befahl Jehu seinen Leuten: »Packt sie!« Sie nahmen die Männer fest und brachten sie zur Zisterne von Bet-Eked. Dort wurden alle hingerichtet. Es waren zweiundvierzig Männer. Keiner von ihnen konnte entkommen.
Jesaja 15:2 - Die Menschen steigen zu ihren Tempeln hinauf, die Einwohner von Dibon laufen zu ihren Opferstätten auf den Hügeln, um dort zu weinen. Auch in den Städten Nebo und Medeba klagen und weinen die Moabiter. Die Männer haben sich vor Kummer den Kopf kahl geschoren und die Bärte abrasiert.
1. Könige 16:29 - Ahab, Omris Sohn, wurde König von Israel im 38. Regierungsjahr König Asas von Juda. Er regierte 22 Jahre in Samaria.
1. Könige 12:1 - Rehabeam reiste nach Sichem, denn dort wollte ganz Israel ihn zum König krönen.

Richter 9:1 - Eines Tages ging Gideons Sohn Abimelech nach Sichem zu den Brüdern seiner Mutter und ihren anderen Verwandten. Er bat sie:

1. Könige 16:24 - Dann kaufte er von Schemer für 70 Kilogramm Silber den Berg Samaria. Er baute dort eine Stadt und machte sie zu seinem neuen Regierungssitz. In Erinnerung an Schemer, den früheren Besitzer des Berges, nannte er die Stadt Samaria.
2. Könige 25:9 - Er steckte den Tempel des Herrn, den Königspalast und alle prunkvollen Bauten Jerusalems in Brand. Auch alle anderen Häuser gingen in Flammen auf.
Josua 18:1 - Als das Land erobert war, versammelte sich die ganze Gemeinschaft der Israeliten in Silo und errichtete dort das heilige Zelt, in dem Gott ihnen begegnen wollte.
