  • Jeremiah 16:9 - I am the Lord who rules over all. I am the God of Israel. I am telling you, ‘In your days I will judge your people. You will see it with your own eyes. I will put an end to the sounds of joy and gladness here in Jerusalem. The voices of brides and grooms will not be heard anymore.’
  • Leviticus 7:12 - “ ‘Suppose they offer a friendship offering to show they are thankful. Then together with the thank offering they must offer thick loaves of bread. They must make them without yeast. They must mix them with olive oil. Or they must offer thin loaves of bread made without yeast. They must spread olive oil on them. Or they must offer thick loaves of bread made out of the finest flour. They must add olive oil to it. They must work the flour and prepare it well.
  • Leviticus 7:13 - They must bring another friendship offering along with their thank offering. It should be thick loaves of bread made with yeast.
  • Jeremiah 33:7 - I will bring Judah and Israel back from the places where they have been taken. I will build up the nation again. It will be just as it was before.

  • Jeremiah 7:34 - I will put an end to the sounds of joy and gladness. The voices of brides and grooms will not be heard anymore. There will be no sounds of joy in the towns of Judah. And there will be no joy in the streets of Jerusalem. The land will become a desert.
  • Isaiah 51:11 - Those the Lord has saved will return to their land. They will sing as they enter the city of Zion. Joy that lasts forever will be like beautiful crowns on their heads. They will be filled with gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing will be gone.
  • 1 Chronicles 16:8 - Give praise to the Lord. Make his name known. Tell the nations what he has done.
  • 2 Chronicles 29:31 - Then Hezekiah said, “You have set yourselves apart to the Lord. Come and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to his temple.” So the whole community brought sacrifices and thank offerings. Everyone who wanted to brought burnt offerings.
  • Hebrews 13:15 - So let us never stop offering to God our praise through Jesus. Let us talk openly about our faith in him. Then our words will be like an offering to God.
  • 2 Chronicles 5:13 - The trumpet players and other musicians played their instruments together. They praised the Lord and gave thanks to him. The singers sang to the music of the trumpets, cymbals and other instruments. They sang in praise to the Lord, “The Lord is good. His faithful love continues forever.” Then a cloud filled the temple of the Lord.
  • Psalm 107:22 - Let them sacrifice thank offerings. Let them talk about what he has done as they sing with joy.
  • Psalm 106:1 - Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good. His faithful love continues forever.
