  • Genesis 23:1 - Now Sarah lived 127 years; these were all the years of her life.
  • Genesis 23:2 - Sarah died in Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron ) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went in to mourn for Sarah and to weep for her.
  • Genesis 2:22 - Then the Lord God made the rib he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man.

  • Isaiah 54:1 - “Rejoice, childless one, who did not give birth; burst into song and shout, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.
  • Isaiah 54:2 - “Enlarge the site of your tent, and let your tent curtains be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your ropes, and drive your pegs deep.
  • Isaiah 54:3 - For you will spread out to the right and to the left, and your descendants will dispossess nations and inhabit the desolate cities.
  • Isaiah 54:4 - “Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame; don’t be humiliated, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, and you will no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.
  • Isaiah 54:5 - Indeed, your husband is your Maker  — his name is the Lord of Armies — and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of the whole earth.
  • Genesis 37:35 - All his sons and daughters tried to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. “No,” he said. “I will go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” And his father wept for him.
  • Genesis 38:12 - After a long time Judah’s wife, the daughter of Shua, died. When Judah had finished mourning, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite went up to Timnah to his sheepshearers.
