For if any kind of rule-keeping had power to create life in us, we would certainly have gotten it by this time.

Galatians 2:17 - But if we ourselves are also found to be “sinners” while seeking to be justified by Christ, is Christ then a promoter of sin? Absolutely not!
Romans 3:4 - Absolutely not! Let God be true, even though everyone is a liar, as it is written: That you may be justified in your words and triumph when you judge.
Romans 3:31 - Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not! On the contrary, we uphold the law.
Romans 7:7 - What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! But I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, Do not covet.
Romans 7:8 - And sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law sin is dead.
Romans 7:9 - Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life again
Romans 7:10 - and I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.
Romans 7:11 - For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.
Romans 7:12 - So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good.
Romans 7:13 - Therefore, did what is good become death to me? Absolutely not! But sin, in order to be recognized as sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment, sin might become sinful beyond measure.
Galatians 2:19 - For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live for God.
Romans 10:3 - Since they are ignorant of the righteousness of God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God’s righteousness.
Romans 10:4 - For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes,

Romans 10:6 - But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, “Who will go up to heaven?” that is, to bring Christ down
Romans 9:31 - But Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not achieved the righteousness of the law.
Romans 3:20 - For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.
Romans 3:21 - But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, attested by the Law and the Prophets.
Romans 3:22 - The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction.
Galatians 2:21 - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
