  • Jeremiah 22:17 - “Jehoiakim, the only thing on your mind is to get rich by cheating others. You would even kill people who are not guilty of doing anything wrong. You would mistreat them. You would take everything they own.”
  • Exodus 23:9 - “Do not treat outsiders badly. You yourselves know how it feels to be outsiders. Remember, you were outsiders in Egypt.

  • Ezekiel 22:13 - “ ‘ “I will clap my hands because I am so angry. You got rich by cheating others. You spilled blood inside the walls of your city.
  • Zechariah 7:9 - Here is what the Lord who rules over all said to his people. “Treat everyone with justice. Show mercy and tender concern to one another.

  • Zephaniah 1:9 - At that time I will punish all those who worship other gods. They fill the temples of their gods with lies and other harmful things.
  • Ezekiel 18:18 - But his father will die because of his own sin. He got rich by cheating others. He robbed his relatives. He also did what was wrong among his people.
  • Amos 3:10 - “They do not know how to do what is right,” announces the Lord. “They store up stolen goods in their forts.”
  • Luke 3:11 - John answered, “Anyone who has extra clothes should share with the one who has none. And anyone who has extra food should do the same.”
  • Amos 2:8 - They lie down beside every altar on clothes they have taken. They lie on those clothes until the owner pays back what is owed. In the house of their God they drink wine that was paid as fines.
  • Deuteronomy 24:12 - The neighbor might be poor. You might be given their coat to keep until you get paid back. Don’t go to sleep while you still have it.
  • Deuteronomy 24:13 - Return it before the sun goes down. They need it to sleep in and will thank you for returning it. The Lord your God will see it and know that you have done the right thing.
  • Ezekiel 33:15 - They return things they take to make sure loans are repaid. They give back what they have stolen. They obey my rules that give life. They do not do what is evil. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.
  • Ezekiel 18:12 - He treats poor and needy people badly. He steals. He does not pay back what he owes. He worships statues of gods. He does other things I hate.
  • Exodus 22:26 - Suppose your neighbor owes you money and gives you a coat as a promise to pay it back. Then return it by sunset.
  • Ezekiel 18:16 - He does not treat anyone badly. He does not make people give him something to prove they will pay back what they owe him. He does not steal. Instead, he gives his food to hungry people. He provides clothes for those who are naked.
