Nehemiah 9:19 - you did not abandon them in the wilderness because of your great compassion. During the day the pillar of cloud never turned away from them, guiding them on their journey. And during the night the pillar of fire illuminated the way they should go.
Nehemiah 9:20 - You sent your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for their thirst.

Exodus 16:1 - The entire Israelite community departed from Elim and came to the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had left the land of Egypt.
Exodus 16:2 - The entire Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
Exodus 16:3 - The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”
Exodus 16:4 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “I am going to rain bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. This way I will test them to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.
Exodus 16:5 - On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather on other days.”
Exodus 16:6 - So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, “This evening you will know that it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
Exodus 16:7 - and in the morning you will see the Lord’s glory because he has heard your complaints about him. For who are we that you complain about us?”
Exodus 16:8 - Moses continued, “The Lord will give you meat to eat this evening and all the bread you want in the morning, for he has heard the complaints that you are raising against him. Who are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the Lord.”
Exodus 16:9 - Then Moses told Aaron, “Say to the entire Israelite community, ‘Come before the Lord, for he has heard your complaints.’”
Exodus 16:10 - As Aaron was speaking to the entire Israelite community, they turned toward the wilderness, and there in a cloud the Lord’s glory appeared.
Exodus 16:11 - The Lord spoke to Moses,
Exodus 16:12 - “I have heard the complaints of the Israelites. Tell them: At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will eat bread until you are full. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.”
Exodus 16:13 - So at evening quail came and covered the camp. In the morning there was a layer of dew all around the camp.
Exodus 16:14 - When the layer of dew evaporated, there were fine flakes on the desert surface, as fine as frost on the ground.
Exodus 16:15 - When the Israelites saw it, they asked one another, “What is it?” because they didn’t know what it was. Moses told them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat.
Exodus 16:16 - This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Gather as much of it as each person needs to eat. You may take two quarts per individual, according to the number of people each of you has in his tent.’”
Exodus 16:17 - So the Israelites did this. Some gathered a lot, some a little.

Nehemiah 9:21 - You provided for them in the wilderness forty years, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell.
Nehemiah 9:22 - You gave them kingdoms and peoples and established boundaries for them. They took possession of the land of King Sihon of Heshbon and of the land of King Og of Bashan.
Nehemiah 9:23 - You multiplied their descendants like the stars of the sky and brought them to the land you told their ancestors to go in and possess.
Psalms 105:39 - He spread a cloud as a covering and gave a fire to light up the night.
Psalms 105:40 - They asked, and he brought quail and satisfied them with bread from heaven.
Psalms 105:41 - He opened a rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a stream in the desert.
Psalms 78:14 - He led them with a cloud by day and with a fiery light throughout the night.
Psalms 78:15 - He split rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink as abundant as the depths.
Psalms 78:16 - He brought streams out of the stone and made water flow down like rivers.
Psalms 78:17 - But they continued to sin against him, rebelling in the desert against the Most High.
Psalms 78:18 - They deliberately tested God, demanding the food they craved.
Psalms 78:19 - They spoke against God, saying, “Is God able to provide food in the wilderness?
Psalms 78:20 - Look! He struck the rock and water gushed out; torrents overflowed. But can he also provide bread or furnish meat for his people?”
Psalms 78:21 - Therefore, the Lord heard and became furious; then fire broke out against Jacob, and anger flared up against Israel
Psalms 78:22 - because they did not believe God or rely on his salvation.
Psalms 78:23 - He gave a command to the clouds above and opened the doors of heaven.
Psalms 78:24 - He rained manna for them to eat; he gave them grain from heaven.
Psalms 78:25 - People ate the bread of angels. He sent them an abundant supply of food.
Psalms 78:26 - He made the east wind blow in the skies and drove the south wind by his might.
Psalms 78:27 - He rained meat on them like dust, and winged birds like the sand of the seas.
Psalms 78:28 - He made them fall in the camp, all around the tents.
Numbers 11:14 - I can’t carry all these people by myself. They are too much for me.
Exodus 16:1 - The entire Israelite community departed from Elim and came to the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had left the land of Egypt.
Exodus 16:2 - The entire Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
Exodus 16:3 - The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”
Exodus 16:4 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “I am going to rain bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. This way I will test them to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.
Exodus 16:5 - On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather on other days.”
Exodus 16:6 - So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, “This evening you will know that it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
Exodus 16:7 - and in the morning you will see the Lord’s glory because he has heard your complaints about him. For who are we that you complain about us?”
Exodus 16:8 - Moses continued, “The Lord will give you meat to eat this evening and all the bread you want in the morning, for he has heard the complaints that you are raising against him. Who are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the Lord.”
Exodus 16:9 - Then Moses told Aaron, “Say to the entire Israelite community, ‘Come before the Lord, for he has heard your complaints.’”
Exodus 16:10 - As Aaron was speaking to the entire Israelite community, they turned toward the wilderness, and there in a cloud the Lord’s glory appeared.
Exodus 16:11 - The Lord spoke to Moses,
Exodus 16:12 - “I have heard the complaints of the Israelites. Tell them: At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will eat bread until you are full. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.”
Exodus 16:13 - So at evening quail came and covered the camp. In the morning there was a layer of dew all around the camp.
Exodus 16:14 - When the layer of dew evaporated, there were fine flakes on the desert surface, as fine as frost on the ground.
Exodus 16:15 - When the Israelites saw it, they asked one another, “What is it?” because they didn’t know what it was. Moses told them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat.
Exodus 16:16 - This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Gather as much of it as each person needs to eat. You may take two quarts per individual, according to the number of people each of you has in his tent.’”
Exodus 16:17 - So the Israelites did this. Some gathered a lot, some a little.
Isaiah 40:11 - He protects his flock like a shepherd; he gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them in the fold of his garment. He gently leads those that are nursing.
Deuteronomy 32:10 - He found him in a desolate land, in a barren, howling wilderness; he surrounded him, cared for him, and protected him as the pupil of his eye.
Deuteronomy 32:11 - He watches over his nest like an eagle and hovers over his young; he spreads his wings, catches him, and carries him on his feathers.
Deuteronomy 32:12 - The Lord alone led him, with no help from a foreign god.
Hosea 11:3 - It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the hand, but they never knew that I healed them.
Hosea 11:4 - I led them with human cords, with ropes of love. To them I was like one who eases the yoke from their jaws; I bent down to give them food.
Exodus 19:4 - ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.
Acts 13:18 - And for about forty years he put up with them in the wilderness;
Numbers 11:11 - So Moses asked the Lord, “Why have you brought such trouble on your servant? Why are you angry with me, and why do you burden me with all these people?
Numbers 11:12 - Did I conceive all these people? Did I give them birth so you should tell me, ‘Carry them at your breast, as a nursing mother carries a baby,’ to the land that you swore to give their ancestors?
Isaiah 63:9 - In all their suffering, he suffered, and the angel of his presence saved them. He redeemed them because of his love and compassion; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.
Isaiah 46:3 - “Listen to me, house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been sustained from the womb, carried along since birth.
Isaiah 46:4 - I will be the same until your old age, and I will bear you up when you turn gray. I have made you, and I will carry you; I will bear and rescue you.
