  • Exodus 23:9 - “You must not oppress foreigners. You know what it’s like to be a foreigner, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.
  • Deuteronomy 24:14 - “Never take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Israelites or foreigners living in your towns.
  • 1 Timothy 6:17 - Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.
  • Exodus 23:2 - “You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.
  • Exodus 23:3 - And do not slant your testimony in favor of a person just because that person is poor.
  • Deuteronomy 10:18 - He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing.
  • Deuteronomy 10:19 - So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.
  • Deuteronomy 31:14 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “The time has come for you to die. Call Joshua and present yourselves at the Tabernacle, so that I may commission him there.” So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the Tabernacle.
  • Leviticus 19:15 - “Do not twist justice in legal matters by favoring the poor or being partial to the rich and powerful. Always judge people fairly.
  • Deuteronomy 16:18 - “Appoint judges and officials for yourselves from each of your tribes in all the towns the Lord your God is giving you. They must judge the people fairly.
  • Deuteronomy 16:19 - You must never twist justice or show partiality. Never accept a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and corrupt the decisions of the godly.
  • Leviticus 24:22 - “This same standard applies both to native-born Israelites and to the foreigners living among you. I am the Lord your God.”
  • John 7:24 - Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.”
