Who Can Stand Before You?

1In Judah God is 76:1 Ps. 48:3known;

his name is great in Israel.

2His 76:2 Ps. 27:5; Lam. 2:6abode has been established in 76:2 Gen. 14:18Salem,

his 76:2 Ps. 9:11; 74:2dwelling place in Zion.

3There he 76:3 Ps. 46:9; [Ezek. 39:9]broke the flashing arrows,

the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah

4Glorious are you, more majestic

76:4 [Isa. 14:25; Ezek. 39:4] than the mountains full of 76:4 Nah. 2:13prey.

576:5 Isa. 46:12The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil;

76:5 Ps. 13:3; 2 Kgs. 19:35; Jer. 51:39; Nah. 3:18they sank into sleep;

all the men of war

were unable to use their hands.

6At your rebuke, O God of Jacob,

both 76:6 Ex. 15:1, 21rider and horse lay stunned.

776:7 Ps. 47:2But you, you are to be feared!

Who can 76:7 Ps. 130:3stand before you

when once your anger is roused?

8From the heavens you uttered judgment;

9when God 76:9 [Ps. 9:7, 8]arose to establish judgment,

to save all the humble of the earth. Selah

10Surely 76:10 [Ex. 9:16]the wrath of man shall praise you;
