God Will Judge with Equity

1We give thanks to you, O God;
we give thanks, for your name is 75:1 Ps. 145:18near.
We75:1 Hebrew They recount your wondrous deeds.

2“At 75:2 Dan. 8:19; Hab. 2:3; See Ps. 102:13the set time that I appoint
I will judge 75:2 Ps. 17:2with equity.
3When the earth 75:3 Isa. 24:19totters, and all its inhabitants,
it is I who keep steady its 75:3 1 Sam. 2:8pillars. Selah
4I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’
and to the wicked, 75:4 ver. 10; Zech. 1:21‘Do not lift up your horn;
5do not lift up your horn on high,
or speak with haughty neck.’”

6For not from the east or from the west
and not from the wilderness comes 75:6 See Ps. 3:3lifting up,
7but it is 75:7 See Ps. 50:6God who executes judgment,
75:7 1 Sam. 2:7; Dan. 2:21putting down one and lifting up another.
875:8 See Job 21:20For in the hand of the Lord there is 75:8 Ps. 11:6a cup
with foaming wine, 75:8 Prov. 23:30well mixed,
and he pours out from it,
and all the wicked of the earth
shall 75:8 Ps. 73:10drain it down to the dregs.

9But I will declare it forever;
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
1075:10 Jer. 48:25All the horns of the wicked I will cut off,
75:10 ver. 4; Ps. 89:17; 112:9; 1 Sam. 2:1but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.
