143:1 Ps. 7:8; 26:1Vindicate me, O God, and 43:1 See 1 Sam. 24:15defend my cause

against an ungodly people,

from 43:1 Ps. 5:6the deceitful and unjust man

deliver me!

2For you are 43:2 Ps. 31:4the God in whom I take refuge;

why have you 43:2 See Ps. 44:9rejected me?

Why do I 43:2 Ps. 42:9go about mourning

because of the oppression of the enemy?

343:3 Ps. 40:11; 57:3Send out your light and your truth;

let them lead me;

let them bring me to your 43:3 See Ps. 2:6; 46:4holy hill

and to your 43:3 Ps. 84:1dwelling!

4Then I will go to the altar of God,

to God my exceeding joy,

and I will praise you with the lyre,

O God, my God.

543:5 See Ps. 42:5Why are you cast down, O my soul,

and why are you in turmoil within me?

43:5 Ps. 42:5, 11Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,

my salvation and my God.
