Tell of All His Wondrous Works
1105:1 Ps. 106:1; 1 Chr. 16:34; Isa. 12:4; For ver. 1-15, see 1 Chr. 16:8-22Oh give thanks to the Lord; 105:1 Ps. 99:6; 116:13, 17; [Gen. 4:26] call upon his name;
105:1 Ps. 145:4, 5, 11, 12make known his deeds among the peoples!
2Sing to him, sing praises to him;
105:2 Ps. 77:12tell of all his wondrous works!
3Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
4Seek the Lord and his 105:4 See Ps. 78:61strength;
105:4 [Ps. 27:8]seek his presence continually!
5Remember the 105:5 Ps. 77:11; See Ps. 72:18wondrous works that he has done,
his miracles, and 105:5 Ex. 6:6; 7:4the judgments he uttered,
6O offspring of 105:6 ver. 42Abraham, his servant,
children of Jacob, his 105:6 ver. 43; Ps. 106:5; [Ps. 135:4]chosen ones!

7He is the Lord our God;
his 105:7 Isa. 26:9judgments are in all the earth.
8He 105:8 ver. 42; Ps. 106:45; 111:5; Luke 1:72remembers his covenant forever,
the word that he commanded, for 105:8 Deut. 7:9a thousand generations,
9105:9 Gen. 17:2; See Gen. 22:15-18the covenant that he made with Abraham,
his 105:9 Gen. 26:3sworn promise to Isaac,
10which he confirmed to 105:10 Gen. 28:13, 14; 35:11, 12Jacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11saying, 105:11 Gen. 13:15; 15:18“To you I will give the land of Canaan
as 105:11 Ps. 78:55your portion for an inheritance.”

12When they were 105:12 Gen. 34:30; Deut. 7:7; 26:5few in number,
of little account, and 105:12 Heb. 11:9sojourners in it,
13wandering from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another people,
14he 105:14 [Gen. 35:5] allowed no one to oppress them;
he 105:14 Gen. 12:17; 20:3rebuked kings on their account,
15saying, 105:15 Gen. 20:6, 7; [Gen. 26:11]“Touch not my anointed ones,
do my prophets no harm!”

16When he 105:16 Gen. 41:54; [2 Kgs. 8:1; Hag. 1:11] summoned a famine on the land
and 105:16 Lev. 26:26; Isa. 3:1; Ezek. 4:16; [Ps. 104:15]broke all supply105:16 Hebrew staff of bread,
17he had 105:17 Gen. 45:5; 50:20sent a man ahead of them,
Joseph, who was 105:17 Gen. 37:28, 36; Acts 7:9sold as a slave.
18His 105:18 [Gen. 39:20]feet were hurt with fetters;
his neck was put in a collar of iron;
19until 105:19 Gen. 40:20, 21; 41:53, 54what he had said came to pass,
the word of the Lord105:19 [Judg. 7:4]tested him.
20105:20 Gen. 41:14The king sent and 105:20 Ps. 146:7released him;
the ruler of the peoples set him free;
21he 105:21 Gen. 41:40made him lord of his house
and ruler of all his possessions,
22to bind105:22 Septuagint, Syriac, Jerome instruct his princes at his pleasure
and to teach his elders wisdom.

23Then 105:23 Gen. 46:6; Acts 7:15Israel came to Egypt;
Jacob 105:23 Acts 13:17sojourned in 105:23 Ps. 106:22; [Ps. 78:51]the land of Ham.
24And the Lord105:24 Ex. 1:7; Deut. 26:5made his people very fruitful
and made them stronger than their foes.
25He 105:25 [Ex. 9:12; Rom. 11:8]; See Ex. 1:8-14turned their hearts to hate his people,
to 105:25 Ex. 1:10; Acts 7:19deal craftily with his servants.

26He 105:26 Ex. 3:10; 4:12sent Moses, his servant,
and Aaron, 105:26 Num. 16:5; 17:5whom he had chosen.
27105:27 For ver. 27-36, see Ps. 78:43-51They performed his signs among them
and miracles in 105:27 [See ver. 23above]the land of Ham.
28He 105:28 Ex. 10:21-23sent darkness, and made the land dark;
they 105:28 Ps. 99:7did not rebel105:28 Septuagint, Syriac omit not against his words.
29He turned their waters into blood
and 105:29 Ex. 7:21caused their fish to die.
30Their land swarmed with frogs,
even in 105:30 Ex. 8:3the chambers of their kings.
31He spoke, and there came 105:31 Ex. 8:21swarms of flies,
105:31 Ex. 8:16and gnats throughout their country.
32He gave them hail for rain,
and fiery 105:32 Ex. 9:23lightning bolts through their land.
33He struck down their vines and fig trees,
and 105:33 Ex. 9:25shattered the trees of their country.
34He spoke, and the 105:34 See Ex. 10:12-15locusts came,
young locusts without number,
35which devoured all the vegetation in their land
and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36He 105:36 See Ps. 78:51struck down all the firstborn in their land,
105:36 See Ps. 78:51the firstfruits of all their strength.

37Then he brought out Israel with 105:37 Ex. 12:35, 36silver and gold,
and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.
38105:38 Ex. 12:23Egypt was glad when they departed,
for 105:38 Ex. 15:16dread of them had fallen upon it.

39He 105:39 [Job 36:20; Isa. 4:5]; See Ex. 13:21spread a cloud for a covering,
and fire to give light by night.
40105:40 Ps. 78:18, 27They asked, and he 105:40 Ex. 16:13brought quail,
and gave them 105:40 Ps. 78:24, 25; [John 6:31]bread from heaven in abundance.
41He opened the rock, and 105:41 See Ps. 78:15water gushed out;
it flowed through 105:41 See Ps. 63:1the desert like a river.
42For he 105:42 ver. 8, 9; Ex. 2:24remembered his holy promise,
and 105:42 [Gen. 15:14]; See ver. 6Abraham, his servant.

43So he brought his people out with joy,
his 105:43 [See ver. 42above] chosen ones with 105:43 [Isa. 35:10]; See Ex. 15:1-21singing.
44And he 105:44 Josh. 24:13; [Ps. 78:55]gave them the lands of the nations,
and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil,
45that they might 105:45 Deut. 4:1, 40keep his statutes
and 105:45 Ps. 78:7observe his laws.
105:45 See Ps. 104:35Praise the Lord!
