Jesus Begins His Ministry
12Now when he heard that 4:12 ch. 14:3; Mark 1:14; Luke 3:19, 20; [John 3:24] John had been arrested, 4:12 Luke 4:14he withdrew into Galilee.
13And leaving 4:13 See ch. 2:23Nazareth he went and lived in 4:13 [ch. 9:1] Capernaum by 4:13 John 6:1the sea, in the territory of 4:13 Josh. 19:32-34Zebulun and Naphtali,
the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—

on them a light has dawned.”

19And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you 4:19 ch. 13:47fishers of men.”4:19 The Greek word anthropoi refers here to both men and women
20Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
21And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.
22Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
