1Yahweh my God, I seek refuge in You; Ps 11:1; 31:1; 71:1

save me from all my pursuers and rescue me Ps 31:15

7Let the assembly of peoples gather around You; Ps 22:27

vindicate me, Lord,

according to my righteousness and my integrity. Lit integrity on me Ps 26:1; 35:24; 43:1

9Let the evil of the wicked come to an end, Ps 94:23

but establish the righteous. Is 9:7

The One who examines the thoughts and emotions Lit examines hearts and kidneys

is a righteous God. Heb 4:12

who saves the upright in heart. Ps 36:10

11God is a righteous judge

and a God who shows His wrath every day. Ps 9:4; Is 11:4

12If anyone does not repent,

He has strung Lit bent ; that is, bent the bow to string it His bow and made it ready. Ps 37:14

13He has prepared His deadly weapons;

He tips His arrows with fire. Ps 18:14; 45:5; 64:7; 144:6

14See, the wicked one is pregnant with evil,

conceives trouble, and gives birth to deceit. Jb 15:35; Is 59:4; Jms 1:15

15He dug a pit and hollowed it out

but fell into the hole he had made. Ps 9:15; 57:6; Pr 26:27; 28:10

16His trouble comes back on his own head,

and his violence falls on the top of his head. 1Sm 25:39; 1Kg 2:33; Est 9:25

17I will thank the Lord for His righteousness;

I will sing about the name of Yahweh the Most High. Ps 9:2; 71:15-16
