Psalm 62
Trust in God Alone

1I am at rest in God alone;
3How long will you threaten a man?
Will all of you attack62:3 Some Hb mss read you be struck down
as if he were a leaning wall
or a tottering fence?62:3 Is 30:13
4They only plan to bring him down
from his high position.
They take pleasure in lying;
they bless with their mouths,
5Rest in God alone, my soul,
for my hope comes from him.62:5 Ps 71:5
7My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock.
My refuge is in God.62:7 Ps 18:2
8Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts before him.
9Common people are only a vapor;
important people, an illusion.
Together on a scale,
10Place no trust in oppression
or false hope in robbery.62:10 Pr 22:16
If wealth increases,
don’t set your heart on it.62:10 Jb 31:24–25; Pr 11:28; Mk 4:19; 1Tm 6:10,17–19
11God has spoken once;
I have heard this twice:
strength belongs to God,62:11 Jb 40:5
12and faithful love belongs to you, Lord.
