Hiob 20:26 - Seine angehäuften Schätze hat Gott fürs Unglück aufbewahrt; ein Feuer wird sie verzehren, das nicht von Menschenhand entzündet wurde. Und wer in seinem Zelt noch überlebt, dem wird es schlecht ergehen.
5. Mose 7:26 - Bringt die abscheulichen Götzen nicht in eure Häuser, sonst seid ihr dem Untergang geweiht. Wendet euch mit Ekel und Grauen von ihnen ab, denn Gott hat sein Urteil über sie gesprochen!
Jakobus 5:2 - Euer Reichtum verrottet, und die Motten zerfressen eure kostbaren Kleider.
Jakobus 5:3 - Euer Gold und Silber verrostet, und ihr Rost wird euch anklagen. Ja, ihr werdet selbst vergehen wie euer Reichtum. Warum habt ihr euch – jetzt, wo die letzten Tage dieser Welt angebrochen sind – bloß Schätze angehäuft?
Hiob 18:15 - Das Feuer wird in seinem Zelt wüten, und man wird Schwefel auf sein Grundstück streuen.

Habakuk 2:9 - Wehe dir! Denn ständig willst du deinen Besitz vergrößern, und dabei ist dir jedes Mittel recht. Du tust alles, um dich sicher zu fühlen, über jede Gefahr erhaben wie ein Adler hoch oben in seinem Nest. Doch letzten Endes stürzt du dich und deine Familie damit nur ins Unglück.
Habakuk 2:10 - Du hast beschlossen, viele Völker auszurotten, aber damit hast du dein Leben verwirkt! Es wird deinem Königshaus nichts als Schande einbringen!
Habakuk 2:11 - Sogar die Steine in der Mauer schreien deine Untaten heraus, und die Sparren im Gebälk stimmen mit ein.
3. Mose 14:34 - »Wenn ihr ins Land Kanaan kommt, das ich euch als euer Eigentum schenken will, und ich lasse dort an einem Haus Schimmelpilz entstehen,
3. Mose 14:35 - dann soll der Besitzer seinen Verdacht dem Priester melden.
3. Mose 14:36 - Dieser ordnet an, das Haus auszuräumen, ehe er kommt, um den Befall zu untersuchen. Denn sonst müsste, falls es ein Pilzbefall ist, der ganze Hausrat für unrein erklärt werden. Nun kommt der Priester, um sich das Haus anzusehen.
3. Mose 14:37 - Entdeckt er im Mauerwerk rötliche oder grünliche Vertiefungen,
3. Mose 14:38 - verlässt er das Haus und verschließt es für sieben Tage.
3. Mose 14:39 - Wenn er am siebten Tag wiederkommt und sieht, dass sich der Befall am Mauerwerk ausgebreitet hat,
3. Mose 14:40 - dann muss er anordnen, die befallenen Steine auszubrechen und außerhalb der Stadt an einen unreinen Ort zu werfen.
3. Mose 14:41 - Die Innenwände des Hauses lässt er abkratzen und den Lehm ebenfalls außerhalb der Stadt an einen unreinen Ort schütten.
3. Mose 14:42 - Dann werden die herausgebrochenen Steine durch andere ersetzt, und das Haus wird mit neuem Lehm verputzt.
3. Mose 14:43 - Wenn aber der Befall wieder auftritt, nachdem man die alten Steine herausgebrochen, den Lehm abgekratzt und das Haus neu verputzt hat,
3. Mose 14:44 - kommt der Priester und schaut es sich erneut an. Stellt er fest, dass sich der Befall ausgebreitet hat, dann handelt es sich um einen hartnäckigen Schimmelpilz, der nicht wieder verschwindet; das Haus bleibt unrein.
3. Mose 14:45 - Man muss es abreißen und den Schutt – die Steine, die Balken und den Lehm – an einen unreinen Ort außerhalb der Stadt bringen.
