  • Genesis 12:2 - And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you [abundantly], And make your name great (exalted, distinguished); And you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others];

  • Matthew 1:12 - After the deportation to Babylon: Jeconiah became the father of Shealtiel, and Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel.
  • Matthew 1:13 - Zerubbabel was the father of Abihud, Abihud the father of Eliakim, and Eliakim the father of Azor.
  • Matthew 1:14 - Azor was the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Achim, and Achim the father of Eliud.
  • Matthew 1:15 - Eliud was the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, and Matthan the father of Jacob.
  • Matthew 1:16 - Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah (Christ).
  • Matthew 1:17 - So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen; from David to the Babylonian deportation (exile), fourteen generations; and from the Babylonian deportation to the Messiah, fourteen generations.
  • Matthew 1:18 - Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by [the power of] the Holy Spirit.
  • Matthew 1:19 - And Joseph her [promised] husband, being a just and righteous man and not wanting to expose her publicly to shame, planned to send her away and divorce her quietly.
  • Matthew 1:20 - But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
  • Isaiah 11:1 - Then a Shoot (the Messiah) will spring from the stock of Jesse [David’s father], And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.

  • Isaiah 11:4 - But with righteousness and justice He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the downtrodden of the earth; And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
  • 1 Corinthians 12:26 - And if one member suffers, all the parts share the suffering; if one member is honored, all rejoice with it.
  • Romans 12:15 - Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief].
  • Psalms 34:1 - I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
  • Psalms 34:2 - My soul makes its boast in the Lord; The humble and downtrodden will hear it and rejoice.
  • Psalms 34:3 - O magnify the Lord with me, And let us lift up His name together.
  • Luke 1:58 - Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown His great mercy toward her, and they were rejoicing with her.
