交叉引用
  • 1 Peter 5:4 - When God, who is the best shepherd of all, comes out in the open with his rule, he’ll see that you’ve done it right and commend you lavishly. And you who are younger must follow your leaders. But all of you, leaders and followers alike, are to be down to earth with each other, for— God has had it with the proud, But takes delight in just plain people.
  • Proverbs 11:29 - Exploit or abuse your family, and end up with a fistful of air; common sense tells you it’s a stupid way to live.
  • Proverbs 11:30 - A good life is a fruit-bearing tree; a violent life destroys souls.
  • Jeremiah 16:19 - God, my strength, my stronghold, my safe retreat when trouble descends: The godless nations will come from earth’s four corners, saying, “Our ancestors lived on lies, useless illusions, all smoke.” Can mortals manufacture gods? Their factories turn out no-gods!
  • Daniel 12:3 - “‘Men and women who have lived wisely and well will shine brilliantly, like the cloudless, star-strewn night skies. And those who put others on the right path to life will glow like stars forever.
  • Matthew 23:29 - “You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You build granite tombs for your prophets and marble monuments for your saints. And you say that if you had lived in the days of your ancestors, no blood would have been on your hands. You protest too much! You’re cut from the same cloth as those murderers, and daily add to the death count.
  • 1 Peter 1:18 - Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.
