Numbers 4:9 - And they shall take a cloth of blue and cover the lampstand for the light, with its lamps, its tongs, its trays, and all the vessels for oil with which it is supplied.
Numbers 4:10 - And they shall put it with all its utensils in a covering of goatskin and put it on the carrying frame.
Numbers 4:11 - And over the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue and cover it with a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles.
Numbers 4:12 - And they shall take all the vessels of the service that are used in the sanctuary and put them in a cloth of blue and cover them with a covering of goatskin and put them on the carrying frame.
Numbers 4:13 - And they shall take away the ashes from the altar and spread a purple cloth over it.
Numbers 4:14 - And they shall put on it all the utensils of the altar, which are used for the service there, the fire pans, the forks, the shovels, and the basins, all the utensils of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles.
Numbers 4:15 - And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, as the camp sets out, after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry these, but they must not touch the holy things, lest they die. These are the things of the tent of meeting that the sons of Kohath are to carry.
Numbers 4:16 - “And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering, and the anointing oil, with the oversight of the whole tabernacle and all that is in it, of the sanctuary and its vessels.”

Numbers 4:18 - “Let not the tribe of the clans of the Kohathites be destroyed from among the Levites,

Numbers 3:33 - To Merari belonged the clan of the Mahlites and the clan of the Mushites: these are the clans of Merari.
Numbers 3:34 - Their listing according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward was 6,200.
Numbers 3:35 - And the chief of the fathers’ house of the clans of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.

1 Chronicles 25:1 - David and the chiefs of the service also set apart for the service the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who prophesied with lyres, with harps, and with cymbals. The list of those who did the work and of their duties was:
1 Chronicles 25:2 - Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.
1 Chronicles 25:3 - Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the lyre in thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.

Numbers 4:4 - This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting: the most holy things.
Numbers 4:5 - When the camp is to set out, Aaron and his sons shall go in and take down the veil of the screen and cover the ark of the testimony with it.
Numbers 4:6 - Then they shall put on it a covering of goatskin and spread on top of that a cloth all of blue, and shall put in its poles.
Numbers 4:7 - And over the table of the bread of the Presence they shall spread a cloth of blue and put on it the plates, the dishes for incense, the bowls, and the flagons for the drink offering; the regular showbread also shall be on it.
Numbers 4:8 - Then they shall spread over them a cloth of scarlet and cover the same with a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles.
Numbers 4:9 - And they shall take a cloth of blue and cover the lampstand for the light, with its lamps, its tongs, its trays, and all the vessels for oil with which it is supplied.
Numbers 4:10 - And they shall put it with all its utensils in a covering of goatskin and put it on the carrying frame.
Numbers 4:11 - And over the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue and cover it with a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles.
Numbers 4:12 - And they shall take all the vessels of the service that are used in the sanctuary and put them in a cloth of blue and cover them with a covering of goatskin and put them on the carrying frame.
Numbers 4:13 - And they shall take away the ashes from the altar and spread a purple cloth over it.
Numbers 4:14 - And they shall put on it all the utensils of the altar, which are used for the service there, the fire pans, the forks, the shovels, and the basins, all the utensils of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles.
Numbers 4:15 - And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, as the camp sets out, after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry these, but they must not touch the holy things, lest they die. These are the things of the tent of meeting that the sons of Kohath are to carry.
Numbers 4:16 - “And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering, and the anointing oil, with the oversight of the whole tabernacle and all that is in it, of the sanctuary and its vessels.”
Numbers 4:17 - The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
Numbers 4:18 - “Let not the tribe of the clans of the Kohathites be destroyed from among the Levites,
Numbers 4:19 - but deal thus with them, that they may live and not die when they come near to the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint them each to his task and to his burden,
Numbers 4:20 - but they shall not go in to look on the holy things even for a moment, lest they die.”
Numbers 4:21 - The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Numbers 4:22 - “Take a census of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses and by their clans.
Numbers 4:23 - From thirty years old up to fifty years old, you shall list them, all who can come to do duty, to do service in the tent of meeting.
Numbers 4:24 - This is the service of the clans of the Gershonites, in serving and bearing burdens:
Numbers 4:25 - they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the tent of meeting with its covering and the covering of goatskin that is on top of it and the screen for the entrance of the tent of meeting

Numbers 4:29 - “As for the sons of Merari, you shall list them by their clans and their fathers’ houses.
Numbers 4:30 - From thirty years old up to fifty years old, you shall list them, everyone who can come on duty, to do the service of the tent of meeting.
Numbers 4:31 - And this is what they are charged to carry, as the whole of their service in the tent of meeting: the frames of the tabernacle, with its bars, pillars, and bases,

1 Chronicles 23:1 - When David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
1 Chronicles 23:2 - David assembled all the leaders of Israel and the priests and the Levites.
1 Chronicles 23:3 - The Levites, thirty years old and upward, were numbered, and the total was 38,000 men.
1 Chronicles 23:4 - “Twenty-four thousand of these,” David said, “shall have charge of the work in the house of the Lord, 6,000 shall be officers and judges,
1 Chronicles 23:5 - 4,000 gatekeepers, and 4,000 shall offer praises to the Lord with the instruments that I have made for praise.”
1 Chronicles 23:6 - And David organized them in divisions corresponding to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
1 Chronicles 23:7 - The sons of Gershon were Ladan and Shimei.
1 Chronicles 23:8 - The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
1 Chronicles 23:9 - The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers’ houses of Ladan.
1 Chronicles 23:10 - And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
1 Chronicles 23:11 - Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second; but Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons, therefore they became counted as a single father’s house.
1 Chronicles 23:12 - The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
1 Chronicles 23:13 - The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron was set apart to dedicate the most holy things, that he and his sons forever should make offerings before the Lord and minister to him and pronounce blessings in his name forever.
1 Chronicles 23:14 - But the sons of Moses the man of God were named among the tribe of Levi.
1 Chronicles 23:15 - The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
1 Chronicles 23:16 - The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.
1 Chronicles 23:17 - The sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah the chief. Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
1 Chronicles 23:18 - The sons of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.
1 Chronicles 23:19 - The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
1 Chronicles 23:20 - The sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief and Isshiah the second.
1 Chronicles 23:21 - The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
1 Chronicles 23:22 - Eleazar died having no sons, but only daughters; their kinsmen, the sons of Kish, married them.
1 Chronicles 23:23 - The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
1 Chronicles 23:24 - These were the sons of Levi by their fathers’ houses, the heads of fathers’ houses as they were listed according to the number of the names of the individuals from twenty years old and upward who were to do the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
1 Chronicles 23:25 - For David said, “The Lord, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people, and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.
1 Chronicles 23:26 - And so the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the things for its service.”
1 Chronicles 23:27 - For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered from twenty years old and upward.
1 Chronicles 23:28 - For their duty was to assist the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, having the care of the courts and the chambers, the cleansing of all that is holy, and any work for the service of the house of God.
1 Chronicles 23:29 - Their duty was also to assist with the showbread, the flour for the grain offering, the wafers of unleavened bread, the baked offering, the offering mixed with oil, and all measures of quantity or size.
1 Chronicles 23:30 - And they were to stand every morning, thanking and praising the Lord, and likewise at evening,
1 Chronicles 23:31 - and whenever burnt offerings were offered to the Lord on Sabbaths, new moons, and feast days, according to the number required of them, regularly before the Lord.
1 Chronicles 23:32 - Thus they were to keep charge of the tent of meeting and the sanctuary, and to attend the sons of Aaron, their brothers, for the service of the house of the Lord.
Numbers 3:23 - The clans of the Gershonites were to camp behind the tabernacle on the west,
Numbers 3:24 - with Eliasaph, the son of Lael as chief of the fathers’ house of the Gershonites.
Numbers 3:25 - And the guard duty of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting involved the tabernacle, the tent with its covering, the screen for the entrance of the tent of meeting,
Numbers 3:26 - the hangings of the court, the screen for the door of the court that is around the tabernacle and the altar, and its cords—all the service connected with these.
Numbers 3:27 - To Kohath belonged the clan of the Amramites and the clan of the Izharites and the clan of the Hebronites and the clan of the Uzzielites; these are the clans of the Kohathites.
Numbers 3:28 - According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were 8,600, keeping guard over the sanctuary.
Numbers 3:29 - The clans of the sons of Kohath were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle,
Numbers 3:30 - with Elizaphan the son of Uzziel as chief of the fathers’ house of the clans of the Kohathites.
Numbers 3:31 - And their guard duty involved the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which the priests minister, and the screen; all the service connected with these.
Numbers 3:32 - And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest was to be chief over the chiefs of the Levites, and to have oversight of those who kept guard over the sanctuary.
Numbers 3:33 - To Merari belonged the clan of the Mahlites and the clan of the Mushites: these are the clans of Merari.
Numbers 3:34 - Their listing according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward was 6,200.
Numbers 3:35 - And the chief of the fathers’ house of the clans of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
Numbers 3:36 - And the appointed guard duty of the sons of Merari involved the frames of the tabernacle, the bars, the pillars, the bases, and all their accessories; all the service connected with these;
Numbers 3:37 - also the pillars around the court, with their bases and pegs and cords.
Numbers 3:12 - “Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the people of Israel instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the people of Israel. The Levites shall be mine,
