  • 2 Chronicles 28:9 - A prophet of the Lord named Oded was there. He went out to meet the army that came to Samaria and said to them, “Look, the Lord God of your ancestors handed them over to you because of his wrath against Judah, but you slaughtered them in a rage that has reached heaven.
  • 2 Chronicles 28:10 - Now you plan to reduce the people of Judah and Jerusalem, male and female, to slavery. Are you not also guilty before the Lord your God?
  • 2 Chronicles 28:11 - Listen to me and return the captives you took from your brothers, for the Lord’s burning anger is on you.”
  • 2 Chronicles 28:12 - So some men who were leaders of the Ephraimites — Azariah son of Jehohanan, Berechiah son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai — stood in opposition to those coming from the war.
  • 2 Chronicles 28:13 - They said to them, “You must not bring the captives here, for you plan to bring guilt on us from the Lord to add to our sins and our guilt. For we have much guilt, and burning anger is on Israel.”
  • Psalms 82:1 - God stands in the divine assembly; he pronounces judgment among the gods:
  • Psalms 82:2 - “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
  • Psalms 82:3 - Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.
  • Psalms 82:4 - Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked.”
  • Ezekiel 22:12 - People who live in you accept bribes in order to shed blood. You take interest and profit on a loan and brutally extort your neighbors. You have forgotten me. This is the declaration of the Lord God.
  • Deuteronomy 15:2 - This is how to cancel debt: Every creditor is to cancel what he has lent his neighbor. He is not to collect anything from his neighbor or brother, because the Lord’s release of debts has been proclaimed.
  • Deuteronomy 15:3 - You may collect something from a foreigner, but you must forgive whatever your brother owes you.
  • Psalms 15:5 - who does not lend his silver at interest or take a bribe against the innocent  — the one who does these things will never be shaken.
  • Deuteronomy 24:10 - “When you make a loan of any kind to your neighbor, do not enter his house to collect what he offers as security.
  • Deuteronomy 24:11 - Stand outside while the man you are making the loan to brings the security out to you.
  • Deuteronomy 24:12 - If he is a poor man, do not sleep with the garment he has given as security.
  • Deuteronomy 24:13 - Be sure to return it to him at sunset. Then he will sleep in it and bless you, and this will be counted as righteousness to you before the Lord your God.
  • 2 Chronicles 19:6 - Then he said to the judges, “Consider what you are doing, for you do not judge for a man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the matter of judgment.
  • 2 Chronicles 19:7 - And now, may the terror of the Lord be on you. Watch what you do, for there is no injustice or partiality or taking bribes with the Lord our God.”
  • Leviticus 19:15 - “Do not act unjustly when deciding a case. Do not be partial to the poor or give preference to the rich; judge your neighbor fairly.
  • Deuteronomy 23:19 - “Do not charge your brother interest on silver, food, or anything that can earn interest.
  • Deuteronomy 23:20 - You may charge a foreigner interest, but you must not charge your brother Israelite interest, so that the Lord your God may bless you in everything you do in the land you are entering to possess.
  • Leviticus 25:36 - Do not profit or take interest from him, but fear your God and let your brother live among you.
  • Exodus 22:25 - “If you lend silver to my people, to the poor person among you, you must not be like a creditor to him; you must not charge him interest.
