  • John 6:49 - Your ancestors ate manna in the wilderness, but they all died.
  • John 6:50 - Anyone who eats the bread from heaven, however, will never die.
  • John 6:51 - I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh.”
  • John 6:52 - Then the people began arguing with each other about what he meant. “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” they asked.
  • John 6:53 - So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you.
  • John 6:54 - But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day.

  • Matthew 14:19 - Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people.
  • Mark 14:24 - And he said to them, “This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice for many.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:16 - When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ?
