  • Matthew 5:10 - God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
  • Matthew 5:11 - “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.
  • Matthew 5:12 - Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.
  • Isaiah 29:19 - The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the Lord. The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

  • 2 Corinthians 8:9 - You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.
  • James 2:5 - Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?

  • Luke 6:23 - When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.
  • Luke 6:24 - “What sorrow awaits you who are rich, for you have your only happiness now.
