Exodus 23:12 - “Six days [each week] you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall stop [working] so that your ox and your donkey may settle down and rest, and the son of your female servant, as well as your stranger, may be refreshed.
Leviticus 23:3 - ‘For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation (calling together). You shall not do any work [on that day]; it is the Sabbath of the Lord wherever you may be.
Mark 3:2 - The Pharisees were watching Jesus closely to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him [in the Jewish high court].
Mark 3:3 - He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Get up and come forward!”

John 5:15 - The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
John 5:16 - For this reason the Jews began to persecute Jesus continually because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.
