Jeremiah 46:1 - That which came as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
Jeremiah 46:2 - To Egypt, concerning the army of Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates at Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon defeated in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:
Jeremiah 46:3 - “Set up the buckler and shield, And advance to the battle!
Jeremiah 46:4 - Harness the horses, And mount the steeds, Take your stand with helmets on! Polish the spears, Put on the coats of armor!
Jeremiah 46:5 - Why have I seen it? They are terrified, They are retreating, And their warriors are defeated And have taken refuge in flight, Without facing back. Terror is on every side!” Declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 46:6 - Let not the swift man flee, Nor the warrior escape. In the north beside the river Euphrates They have stumbled and fallen.
Jeremiah 46:7 - Who is this that rises like the Nile, Like the rivers whose waters surge?
Jeremiah 46:8 - Egypt rises like the Nile, And like the rivers whose waters surge; And He has said, “I will rise and cover that land; I will destroy the city and its inhabitants.”
Jeremiah 46:9 - Go up, you horses, and drive wildly, you chariots, So that the warriors may march forward: Cush and Put, who handle the shield, And the Lydians, who handle and bend the bow.
Jeremiah 46:10 - For that day belongs to the Lord God of armies, A day of vengeance, so as to avenge Himself on His foes; And the sword will devour and be satisfied, And drink its fill of their blood; For there will be a slaughter for the Lord God of armies, In the land of the north at the river Euphrates.
Jeremiah 46:11 - Go up to Gilead and obtain balm, Virgin daughter of Egypt! You have used many remedies in vain; There is no healing for you.
Jeremiah 46:12 - The nations have heard of your shame, And the earth is full of your cry of distress; For one warrior has stumbled over another, And both of them have fallen down together.
Jeremiah 46:13 - This is the message which the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt:
Jeremiah 46:14 - “Declare in Egypt and proclaim in Migdol, Proclaim also in Memphis and Tahpanhes; Say, ‘Take your stand and get yourself ready, For the sword has devoured those around you.’
Jeremiah 46:15 - Why have your powerful ones been cut down? They do not stand because the Lord has thrust them away.
Jeremiah 46:16 - They have repeatedly stumbled; Indeed, they have fallen, one against another. Then they said, ‘Get up, and let’s go back To our own people and our native land, Away from the sword of the oppressor!’
Jeremiah 46:17 - They shouted there, ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt is nothing but a big noise; He has let the appointed time pass by!’
Jeremiah 46:18 - As I live,” declares the King, Whose name is the Lord of armies, “One certainly shall come who is like Tabor among the mountains, Or like Carmel by the sea.
Jeremiah 46:19 - Make your baggage ready for exile, Daughter living in Egypt, For Memphis will become a desolation; It will be destroyed and deprived of inhabitants.
Jeremiah 46:20 - Egypt is a pretty heifer, But a horsefly is coming from the north—it is coming!
Jeremiah 46:21 - Also her mercenaries in her midst Are like fattened calves, For they too have turned away and have fled together; They did not stand their ground. For the day of their disaster has come upon them, The time of their punishment.

Jeremiah 46:27 - “But as for you, Jacob My servant, do not fear, Nor be dismayed, Israel! For, see, I am going to save you from far away, And your descendants from the land of their captivity; And Jacob will return and be undisturbed And secure, with no one making him afraid.
Jeremiah 46:28 - Jacob My servant, do not fear,” declares the Lord, “For I am with you. For I will make a complete destruction of all the nations Where I have driven you, Yet I will not make a complete destruction of you; But I will correct you properly And by no means leave you unpunished.”

Ezekiel 25:1 - And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Ezekiel 25:2 - “Son of man, set your face against the sons of Ammon and prophesy against them,
Ezekiel 25:3 - and say to the sons of Ammon, ‘Hear the word of the Lord God! This is what the Lord God says: “Because you said, ‘Aha!’ against My sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and against the house of Judah when they went into exile,
Ezekiel 25:4 - therefore, behold, I am going to give you to the people of the east as a possession, and they will set up their encampments among you and make their dwellings among you; they will eat your fruit and drink your milk.
Ezekiel 25:5 - I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels, and the sons of Ammon a resting place for flocks. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
Ezekiel 25:6 - For this is what the Lord God says: “Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet, and have rejoiced with all the malice in your soul against the land of Israel,
Ezekiel 25:7 - therefore, behold, I have reached out with My hand against you and I will give you as plunder to the nations. And I will cut you off from the peoples and eliminate you from the lands. I will exterminate you. So you will know that I am the Lord.”

Ezekiel 25:10 - and I will give it as a possession along with the sons of Ammon to the people of the east, so that the sons of Ammon will not be remembered among the nations.
Ezekiel 25:11 - So I will execute judgments on Moab, and they will know that I am the Lord.”

Isaiah 47:1 - “Come down and sit in the dust, Virgin daughter of Babylon; Sit on the ground without a throne, Daughter of the Chaldeans! For you will no longer be called tender and delicate.
Isaiah 47:2 - Take the millstones and grind flour. Remove your veil, strip off the skirt, Uncover the leg, cross the rivers.
Isaiah 47:3 - Your nakedness will be uncovered, Your shame will also be exposed; I will take vengeance and will not spare anyone.”
Isaiah 47:4 - Our Redeemer, the Lord of armies is His name, The Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 47:5 - “Sit silently, and go into darkness, Daughter of the Chaldeans; For you will no longer be called The queen of kingdoms.
Isaiah 47:6 - I was angry with My people, I profaned My heritage And handed them over to you. You did not show mercy to them, On the aged you made your yoke very heavy.
Isaiah 47:7 - Yet you said, ‘I will be a queen forever.’ These things you did not consider Nor remember the outcome of them.
Isaiah 47:8 - “Now, then, hear this, you luxuriant one, Who lives securely, Who says in her heart, ‘I am, and there is no one besides me. I will not sit as a widow, Nor know the loss of children.’
Isaiah 47:9 - But these two things will come on you suddenly in one day: Loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in full measure In spite of your many sorceries, In spite of the great power of your spells.
Isaiah 47:10 - You felt secure in your wickedness and said, ‘No one sees me,’ Your wisdom and your knowledge, they have led you astray; For you have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one besides me.’
Isaiah 47:11 - But evil will come on you Which you will not know how to charm away; And disaster will fall on you For which you cannot atone; And destruction about which you do not know Will come on you suddenly.
Isaiah 47:12 - “Persist now in your spells And in your many sorceries With which you have labored from your youth; Perhaps you will be able to benefit, Perhaps you may cause trembling.
Isaiah 47:13 - You are wearied with your many counsels; Let now the astrologers, Those who prophesy by the stars, Those who predict by the new moons, Stand up and save you from what will come upon you.
Isaiah 47:14 - Behold, they have become like stubble, Fire burns them; They cannot save themselves from the power of the flame; There will be no coal to warm by Nor a fire to sit before!
Isaiah 47:15 - So have those become to you with whom you have labored, Those who have done business with you from your youth; Each has wandered in his own way; There is no one to save you.
Jeremiah 50:31 - “Behold, I am against you, arrogant one,” Declares the Lord God of armies, “For your day has come, The time when I will punish you.
Jeremiah 48:27 - Now was Israel not a laughingstock to you? Or was he caught among thieves? For whenever you speak about him you shake your head in scorn.
Jeremiah 25:17 - So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand and gave it to all the nations to whom the Lord sent me, to drink from it:
Jeremiah 25:18 - To Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, and its kings and its officials, to make them places of ruins, objects of horror, hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;
Jeremiah 25:19 - To Pharaoh king of Egypt, his servants, his officials, and all his people;
Jeremiah 25:20 - and to all the foreign people, all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the land of the Philistines (that is, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod);
Jeremiah 25:21 - To Edom, Moab, and the sons of Ammon;
Jeremiah 25:22 - and to all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastlands which are beyond the sea;
Jeremiah 25:23 - and to Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who trim the corners of their hair;
Jeremiah 25:24 - and to all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert;
Jeremiah 25:25 - and to all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of Media;
Jeremiah 25:26 - and to all the kings of the north, near and far, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the earth which are on the face of the ground; and the king of Sheshach shall drink it after them.
Jeremiah 25:27 - “And you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “Drink, be drunk, vomit, fall down, and do not get up, because of the sword which I am sending among you.” ’
Jeremiah 25:28 - And if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “You shall certainly drink!
Jeremiah 25:29 - For behold, I am beginning to inflict disaster on this city which is called by My name, so should you be completely free from punishment? You will not be free from punishment, for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth,” declares the Lord of armies.’
Obadiah 1:12 - Do not gloat over your brother’s day, The day of his misfortune. And do not rejoice over the sons of Judah On the day of their destruction; Yes, do not boast On the day of their distress.
Obadiah 1:13 - Do not enter the gate of My people On the day of their disaster. You indeed, do not gloat over their catastrophe On the day of their disaster. And do not lay a hand on their wealth On the day of their disaster.
Jeremiah 51:24 - “But I will repay Babylon and all the inhabitants of Chaldea for all their evil that they have done in Zion before your eyes,” declares the Lord.
Habakkuk 2:15 - “Woe to him who makes his neighbor drink; To you who mix in your venom even to make your neighbors drunk, So as to look at their genitalia!
Habakkuk 2:16 - You will be filled with disgrace rather than honor. Drink, you yourself, and expose your own foreskin! The cup in the Lord’s right hand will come around to you, And utter disgrace will come upon your glory.
Habakkuk 2:17 - For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, And the devastation of its animals by which you terrified them, Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land, To the town and all its inhabitants.
Jeremiah 51:49 - Indeed, Babylon is to fall for the slain of Israel, As the slain of all the earth have also fallen for Babylon.
Jeremiah 50:15 - Raise your battle cry against her on every side! She has given herself up, her towers have fallen, Her walls have been torn down. For this is the vengeance of the Lord: Take vengeance on her; As she has done to others, so do to her.
Isaiah 51:22 - This is what your Lord, the Lord, your God Who contends for His people says: “Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering, The chalice of My anger; You will never drink it again.
Isaiah 51:23 - I will put it into the hand of your tormentors, Who have said to you, ‘Lie down so that we may walk over you.’ You have also made your back like the ground, And like the street for those who walk over it.”
Amos 1:1 - The words of Amos, who was among the sheepherders from Tekoa, which he saw in visions concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
Amos 1:2 - And he said, “The Lord roars from Zion, And from Jerusalem He utters His voice; And the shepherds’ pasture grounds mourn, And the summit of Carmel dries up.”
Amos 1:3 - This is what the Lord says: “For three offenses of Damascus, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because they threshed Gilead with iron sledges.
Amos 1:4 - So I will send fire upon the house of Hazael, And it will consume the citadels of Ben-hadad.
Amos 1:5 - I will also break the gate bar of Damascus, And eliminate every inhabitant from the Valley of Aven, As well as him who holds the scepter, from Beth-eden; So the people of Aram will be exiled to Kir,” Says the Lord.
Amos 1:6 - This is what the Lord says: “For three offenses of Gaza, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because they led into exile an entire population To turn them over to Edom.
Amos 1:7 - So I will send fire on the wall of Gaza And it will consume her citadels.
Amos 1:8 - I will also eliminate every inhabitant from Ashdod, As well as him who holds the scepter, from Ashkelon; And I will direct My power against Ekron, And the remnant of the Philistines will perish,” Says the Lord God.
Amos 1:9 - This is what the Lord says: “For three offenses of Tyre, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because they turned an entire population over to Edom And did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.
Amos 1:10 - So I will send fire on the wall of Tyre, And it will consume her citadels.”
Amos 1:11 - This is what the Lord says: “For three offenses of Edom, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because he pursued his brother with the sword And stifled his compassion; His anger also tore continually, And he maintained his fury forever.
Amos 1:12 - So I will send fire upon Teman And it will consume the citadels of Bozrah.”
Amos 1:13 - This is what the Lord says: “For three offenses of the sons of Ammon, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead In order to enlarge their borders.
Amos 1:14 - So I will kindle a fire on the wall of Rabbah, And it will consume her citadels Amid war cries on the day of battle, And amid a storm on the day of tempest.
Amos 1:15 - Their king will go into exile, He and his princes together,” says the Lord.
Revelation 18:6 - Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.
Joel 3:14 - Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
Jeremiah 46:1 - That which came as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
Jeremiah 46:2 - To Egypt, concerning the army of Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates at Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon defeated in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:
Jeremiah 46:3 - “Set up the buckler and shield, And advance to the battle!
Jeremiah 46:4 - Harness the horses, And mount the steeds, Take your stand with helmets on! Polish the spears, Put on the coats of armor!
Jeremiah 46:5 - Why have I seen it? They are terrified, They are retreating, And their warriors are defeated And have taken refuge in flight, Without facing back. Terror is on every side!” Declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 46:6 - Let not the swift man flee, Nor the warrior escape. In the north beside the river Euphrates They have stumbled and fallen.
Jeremiah 46:7 - Who is this that rises like the Nile, Like the rivers whose waters surge?
Jeremiah 46:8 - Egypt rises like the Nile, And like the rivers whose waters surge; And He has said, “I will rise and cover that land; I will destroy the city and its inhabitants.”
Jeremiah 46:9 - Go up, you horses, and drive wildly, you chariots, So that the warriors may march forward: Cush and Put, who handle the shield, And the Lydians, who handle and bend the bow.
Jeremiah 46:10 - For that day belongs to the Lord God of armies, A day of vengeance, so as to avenge Himself on His foes; And the sword will devour and be satisfied, And drink its fill of their blood; For there will be a slaughter for the Lord God of armies, In the land of the north at the river Euphrates.
Jeremiah 46:11 - Go up to Gilead and obtain balm, Virgin daughter of Egypt! You have used many remedies in vain; There is no healing for you.
Jeremiah 46:12 - The nations have heard of your shame, And the earth is full of your cry of distress; For one warrior has stumbled over another, And both of them have fallen down together.
Jeremiah 46:13 - This is the message which the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt:
Jeremiah 46:14 - “Declare in Egypt and proclaim in Migdol, Proclaim also in Memphis and Tahpanhes; Say, ‘Take your stand and get yourself ready, For the sword has devoured those around you.’
Jeremiah 46:15 - Why have your powerful ones been cut down? They do not stand because the Lord has thrust them away.
Jeremiah 46:16 - They have repeatedly stumbled; Indeed, they have fallen, one against another. Then they said, ‘Get up, and let’s go back To our own people and our native land, Away from the sword of the oppressor!’
Jeremiah 46:17 - They shouted there, ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt is nothing but a big noise; He has let the appointed time pass by!’
Jeremiah 46:18 - As I live,” declares the King, Whose name is the Lord of armies, “One certainly shall come who is like Tabor among the mountains, Or like Carmel by the sea.
Jeremiah 46:19 - Make your baggage ready for exile, Daughter living in Egypt, For Memphis will become a desolation; It will be destroyed and deprived of inhabitants.
Jeremiah 46:20 - Egypt is a pretty heifer, But a horsefly is coming from the north—it is coming!
Jeremiah 46:21 - Also her mercenaries in her midst Are like fattened calves, For they too have turned away and have fled together; They did not stand their ground. For the day of their disaster has come upon them, The time of their punishment.
Jeremiah 46:22 - Its sound moves along like a serpent; For they move on like an army And come to her as woodcutters with axes.
Jeremiah 46:23 - They have cut down her forest,” declares the Lord; “Certainly it will no longer be found, Even though they are more numerous than locusts And are without number.
Jeremiah 46:24 - The daughter of Egypt has been put to shame, Turned over to the power of the people of the north.”
Jeremiah 46:25 - The Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I am going to punish Amon of Thebes, and Pharaoh, and Egypt along with her gods and her kings, indeed, Pharaoh and those who trust in him.
Jeremiah 46:26 - I shall hand them over to those who are seeking their lives, that is, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to his officers. Afterward, however, it will be inhabited as in the days of old,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 46:27 - “But as for you, Jacob My servant, do not fear, Nor be dismayed, Israel! For, see, I am going to save you from far away, And your descendants from the land of their captivity; And Jacob will return and be undisturbed And secure, with no one making him afraid.
Jeremiah 46:28 - Jacob My servant, do not fear,” declares the Lord, “For I am with you. For I will make a complete destruction of all the nations Where I have driven you, Yet I will not make a complete destruction of you; But I will correct you properly And by no means leave you unpunished.”
Psalms 137:7 - Remember, Lord, against the sons of Edom The day of Jerusalem, Those who said, “Lay it bare, lay it bare To its foundation!”
Psalms 137:8 - Daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, Blessed will be one who repays you With the retribution with which you have repaid us.
Psalms 137:9 - Blessed will be one who seizes and dashes your children Against the rock.
Deuteronomy 32:41 - If I have sharpened My flashing sword, And My hand has taken hold of justice, I will return vengeance on My adversaries, And I will repay those who hate Me.
Deuteronomy 32:42 - I will make My arrows drunk with blood, And My sword will devour flesh, With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the long-haired leaders of the enemy.’
Deuteronomy 32:43 - Rejoice, you nations, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And will return vengeance on His adversaries, And will atone for His land and His people.”
Jeremiah 30:16 - Therefore all who devour you will be devoured; And all your adversaries, every one of them, will go into captivity; And those who plunder you will become plunder, And all who plunder you I will turn into plunder.
Micah 7:9 - I will endure the rage of the Lord Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me out to the light, And I will look at His righteousness.
Micah 7:10 - Then my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me, “Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look at her; At that time she will be trampled down Like mud of the streets.

Lamentations 1:2 - She weeps bitterly in the night, And her tears are on her cheeks; She has no one to comfort her Among all her lovers. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; They have become her enemies.
Lamentations 4:21 - Rejoice and be joyful, daughter of Edom, Who lives in the land of Uz; But the cup will pass to you as well, You will become drunk and expose yourself.
Lamentations 4:22 - The punishment of your wrongdoing has been completed, daughter of Zion; He will no longer exile you. But He will punish your wrongdoing, daughter of Edom; He will expose your sins!
Psalms 35:15 - But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered themselves together; The afflicted people whom I did not know gathered together against me, They slandered me without ceasing.
Jeremiah 50:11 - “Because you are glad, because you are jubilant, You who pillage My heritage, Because you skip about like a threshing heifer And neigh like stallions,
Lamentations 1:22 - May all their wickedness come before You; And deal with them just as You have dealt with me For all my wrongdoings. For my groans are many and my heart is faint.”
Lamentations 1:16 - For these things I weep; My eyes run down with water; Because far from me is a comforter, One to restore my soul. My children are desolate Because the enemy has prevailed.”
Lamentations 2:15 - All who pass along the way Clap their hands in ridicule at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem: “Is this the city of which they said, ‘Perfect in beauty, A joy to all the earth’?”
Lamentations 1:8 - Jerusalem sinned greatly, Therefore she has become an object of ridicule. All who honored her despise her Because they have seen her nakedness; Even she herself groans and turns away.
