Jeremiah 16:5 - For this is what the Lord says: “Do not enter a house where there is a funeral meal; do not go to mourn or show sympathy, because I have withdrawn my blessing, my love and my pity from this people,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 16:6 - “Both high and low will die in this land. They will not be buried or mourned, and no one will cut themselves or shave their head for the dead.
Jeremiah 16:7 - No one will offer food to comfort those who mourn for the dead—not even for a father or a mother—nor will anyone give them a drink to console them.
Jeremiah 16:8 - “And do not enter a house where there is feasting and sit down to eat and drink.
Jeremiah 16:9 - For this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Before your eyes and in your days I will bring an end to the sounds of joy and gladness and to the voices of bride and bridegroom in this place.
Romans 11:9 - And David says: “May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them.
Isaiah 24:2 - it will be the same for priest as for people, for the master as for his servant, for the mistress as for her servant, for seller as for buyer, for borrower as for lender, for debtor as for creditor.
Isaiah 24:3 - The earth will be completely laid waste and totally plundered. The Lord has spoken this word.
Romans 9:33 - As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
Jeremiah 19:7 - “ ‘In this place I will ruin the plans of Judah and Jerusalem. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, at the hands of those who want to kill them, and I will give their carcasses as food to the birds and the wild animals.
Jeremiah 19:8 - I will devastate this city and make it an object of horror and scorn; all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds.
Jeremiah 19:9 - I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will eat one another’s flesh because their enemies will press the siege so hard against them to destroy them.’
1 Peter 2:8 - and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.
2 Chronicles 36:17 - He brought up against them the king of the Babylonians, who killed their young men with the sword in the sanctuary, and did not spare young men or young women, the elderly or the infirm. God gave them all into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar.
Lamentations 2:20 - “Look, Lord, and consider: Whom have you ever treated like this? Should women eat their offspring, the children they have cared for? Should priest and prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?

Lamentations 2:22 - “As you summon to a feast day, so you summoned against me terrors on every side. In the day of the Lord’s anger no one escaped or survived; those I cared for and reared my enemy has destroyed.”
Jeremiah 15:2 - And if they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says: “ ‘Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.’
Jeremiah 15:3 - “I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,” declares the Lord, “the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy.
Jeremiah 15:4 - I will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 15:5 - “Who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn for you? Who will stop to ask how you are?
Jeremiah 15:6 - You have rejected me,” declares the Lord. “You keep on backsliding. So I will reach out and destroy you; I am tired of holding back.
Jeremiah 15:7 - I will winnow them with a winnowing fork at the city gates of the land. I will bring bereavement and destruction on my people, for they have not changed their ways.
Jeremiah 15:8 - I will make their widows more numerous than the sand of the sea. At midday I will bring a destroyer against the mothers of their young men; suddenly I will bring down on them anguish and terror.
Jeremiah 15:9 - The mother of seven will grow faint and breathe her last. Her sun will set while it is still day; she will be disgraced and humiliated. I will put the survivors to the sword before their enemies,” declares the Lord.
Ezekiel 5:10 - Therefore in your midst parents will eat their children, and children will eat their parents. I will inflict punishment on you and will scatter all your survivors to the winds.
Ezekiel 9:5 - As I listened, he said to the others, “Follow him through the city and kill, without showing pity or compassion.
Ezekiel 9:6 - Slaughter the old men, the young men and women, the mothers and children, but do not touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with the old men who were in front of the temple.
Ezekiel 9:7 - Then he said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go!” So they went out and began killing throughout the city.
Isaiah 9:14 - So the Lord will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day;
Isaiah 9:15 - the elders and dignitaries are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail.
Isaiah 9:16 - Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray.
Isaiah 9:17 - Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks folly. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
Jeremiah 13:16 - Give glory to the Lord your God before he brings the darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills. You hope for light, but he will turn it to utter darkness and change it to deep gloom.
Ezekiel 3:20 - “Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
Isaiah 8:14 - He will be a holy place; for both Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.
