Acts 4:26 - The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers assemble together against the Lord and against his Messiah.

Matthew 19:23 - Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Micah 3:4 - Then they will cry out to the Lord, but he will not answer them. He will hide his face from them at that time because of the crimes they have committed.

Micah 7:4 - The best of them is like a brier; the most upright is worse than a hedge of thorns. The day of your watchmen, the day of your punishment, is coming; at this time their panic is here.
Luke 18:24 - Seeing that he became sad, Jesus said, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!
Zephaniah 3:3 - The princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are wolves of the night, which leave nothing for the morning.
Zephaniah 3:4 - Her prophets are reckless — treacherous men. Her priests profane the sanctuary; they do violence to instruction.
Zephaniah 3:5 - The righteous Lord is in her; he does no wrong. He applies his justice morning by morning; he does not fail at dawn, yet the one who does wrong knows no shame.
James 2:5 - Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Didn’t God choose the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?
James 2:6 - Yet you have dishonored the poor. Don’t the rich oppress you and drag you into court?
James 2:7 - Don’t they blaspheme the good name that was invoked over you?
Jeremiah 2:20 - For long ago I broke your yoke; I tore off your chains. You insisted, “I will not serve!” On every high hill and under every green tree you lay down like a prostitute.
