  • Psalms 149:9 - to execute the judgment written against them. This is the glorious privilege of his faithful ones. Praise the Lord!
  • Matthew 12:36 - And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.
  • Proverbs 17:20 - The crooked heart will not prosper; the lying tongue tumbles into trouble.
  • 1 Thessalonians 1:9 - for they keep talking about the wonderful welcome you gave us and how you turned away from idols to serve the living and true God.
  • Isaiah 28:13 - So the Lord will spell out his message for them again, one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there, so that they will stumble and fall. They will be injured, trapped, and captured.
  • Isaiah 28:14 - Therefore, listen to this message from the Lord, you scoffing rulers in Jerusalem.

  • Isaiah 3:8 - For Jerusalem will stumble, and Judah will fall, because they speak out against the Lord and refuse to obey him. They provoke him to his face.
  • 2 Peter 3:16 - speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction.
