  • Jeremiah 17:13 - Lord, the hope of Israel, all who abandon you will be put to shame. All who turn away from me will be written in the dirt, for they have abandoned the Lord, the fountain of living water.
  • Hosea 2:13 - And I will punish her for the days of the Baals, to which she burned incense. She put on her rings and her jewelry and followed her lovers, but she forgot me. This is the Lord’s declaration.
  • Jeremiah 16:19 - Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in a time of distress, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and they will say, “Our ancestors inherited only lies, worthless idols of no benefit at all.”
  • Jeremiah 3:21 - A sound is heard on the barren heights: the children of Israel weeping and begging for mercy, for they have perverted their way; they have forgotten the Lord their God.
  • Jeremiah 2:13 - For my people have committed a double evil: They have abandoned me, the fountain of living water, and dug cisterns for themselves —  cracked cisterns that cannot hold water.
  • Jeremiah 10:15 - They are worthless, a work to be mocked. At the time of their punishment they will be destroyed.
  • Hosea 11:2 - Israel called to the Egyptians even as Israel was leaving them. They kept sacrificing to the Baals and burning offerings to idols.
  • Malachi 2:8 - “You, on the other hand, have turned from the way. You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have violated the covenant of Levi,” says the Lord of Armies.
  • Isaiah 57:14 - He said, “Build it up, build it up, prepare the way, remove every obstacle from my people’s way.”
  • Jeremiah 2:32 - Can a young woman forget her jewelry or a bride her wedding sash? Yet my people have forgotten me for countless days.
  • Jeremiah 6:16 - This is what the Lord says: Stand by the roadways and look. Ask about the ancient paths, “Which is the way to what is good?” Then take it and find rest for yourselves. But they protested, “We won’t!”
