Romans 4:4 - Now to a laborer, his wages are not credited as a favor or a gift, but as an obligation [something owed to him].
Romans 4:5 - But to the one who does not work [that is, the one who does not try to earn his salvation by doing good], but believes and completely trusts in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).
Romans 4:6 - And in this same way David speaks of the blessing on the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
Romans 4:22 - Therefore his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).
Romans 4:23 - Now not for his sake alone was it written that it was credited to him,
Romans 4:24 - but for our sake also—to whom righteousness will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead—
Galatians 3:6 - Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, [as conformity to God’s will and purpose—so it is with you also].
2 Chronicles 20:7 - O our God, did You not drive out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Your friend Abraham?
Isaiah 41:8 - “But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The offspring of Abraham My friend,
Genesis 15:6 - Then Abram believed in (affirmed, trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to) the Lord; and He counted (credited) it to him as righteousness (doing right in regard to God and man).
