  • Amos 9:7 - “Are you not like the Cushites to me, O people of Israel?” declares the Lord. “Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor and the Syrians from Kir?
  • Amos 9:8 - Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the surface of the ground, except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” declares the Lord.
  • Amos 9:9 - “For behold, I will command, and shake the house of Israel among all the nations as one shakes with a sieve, but no pebble shall fall to the earth.

  • 2 Kings 17:9 - And the people of Israel did secretly against the Lord their God things that were not right. They built for themselves high places in all their towns, from watchtower to fortified city.
  • 2 Kings 17:10 - They set up for themselves pillars and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree,
  • 2 Kings 17:11 - and there they made offerings on all the high places, as the nations did whom the Lord carried away before them. And they did wicked things, provoking the Lord to anger,
  • 2 Kings 17:12 - and they served idols, of which the Lord had said to them, “You shall not do this.”
  • 2 Kings 17:13 - Yet the Lord warned Israel and Judah by every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways and keep my commandments and my statutes, in accordance with all the Law that I commanded your fathers, and that I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”
  • 2 Kings 17:14 - But they would not listen, but were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the Lord their God.
  • 2 Kings 17:15 - They despised his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after false idols and became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the Lord had commanded them that they should not do like them.
  • 2 Kings 17:16 - And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made for themselves metal images of two calves; and they made an Asherah and worshiped all the host of heaven and served Baal.
  • 2 Kings 17:17 - And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings and used divination and omens and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
  • 2 Kings 17:18 - Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah only.
  • 2 Kings 17:19 - Judah also did not keep the commandments of the Lord their God, but walked in the customs that Israel had introduced.
  • 2 Kings 17:20 - And the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and gave them into the hand of plunderers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
  • Hosea 13:3 - Therefore they shall be like the morning mist or like the dew that goes early away, like the chaff that swirls from the threshing floor or like smoke from a window.
  • Amos 6:11 - For behold, the Lord commands, and the great house shall be struck down into fragments, and the little house into bits.
  • Hosea 9:11 - Ephraim’s glory shall fly away like a bird— no birth, no pregnancy, no conception!

  • Hosea 9:15 - Every evil of theirs is in Gilgal; there I began to hate them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of my house. I will love them no more; all their princes are rebels.
  • Hosea 9:16 - Ephraim is stricken; their root is dried up; they shall bear no fruit. Even though they give birth, I will put their beloved children to death.
  • Hosea 9:17 - My God will reject them because they have not listened to him; they shall be wanderers among the nations.
  • Hosea 5:12 - But I am like a moth to Ephraim, and like dry rot to the house of Judah.
  • Hosea 5:13 - When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to the great king. But he is not able to cure you or heal your wound.
  • Hosea 5:14 - For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and no one shall rescue.
  • Hosea 1:6 - She conceived again and bore a daughter. And the Lord said to him, “Call her name No Mercy, for I will no more have mercy on the house of Israel, to forgive them at all.
  • Hosea 1:9 - And the Lord said, “Call his name Not My People, for you are not my people, and I am not your God.”
  • Hosea 1:4 - And the Lord said to him, “Call his name Jezreel, for in just a little while I will punish the house of Jehu for the blood of Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.
  • Amos 2:14 - Flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not retain his strength, nor shall the mighty save his life;
  • Amos 2:15 - he who handles the bow shall not stand, and he who is swift of foot shall not save himself, nor shall he who rides the horse save his life;
  • Amos 2:16 - and he who is stout of heart among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day,” declares the Lord.
  • Revelation 18:8 - For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
  • Isaiah 19:15 - And there will be nothing for Egypt that head or tail, palm branch or reed, may do.
