Psalm 112:1 - Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who have respect for the Lord. They find great delight when they obey God’s commands.
Psalm 25:10 - All the Lord’s ways are loving and faithful toward those who obey what his covenant commands.
Acts 10:2 - Cornelius and all his family were faithful and worshiped God. He gave freely to people who were in need. He prayed to God regularly.
Acts 10:3 - One day about three o’clock in the afternoon he had a vision. He saw clearly an angel of God. The angel came to him and said, “Cornelius!”
Acts 10:4 - Cornelius was afraid. He stared at the angel. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to poor people are like an offering to God. So he has remembered you.
Acts 10:35 - “He accepts people from every nation. He accepts anyone who has respect for him and does what is right.
Hosea 6:3 - Let’s recognize him as the Lord. Let’s keep trying to know him. You can be sure the sun will rise. And you can be just as sure the Lord will appear. He will come to renew us like the winter rains. He will be like the spring rains that water the earth.”
Hosea 11:8 - The Lord continues, “People of Ephraim, how can I give you up? Israel, how can I hand you over to your enemies? Can I destroy you as I did the town of Admah? Can I treat you like Zeboyim? My heart is stirred inside me. It is filled with pity for you.
Psalm 37:4 - Find your delight in the Lord. Then he will give you everything your heart really wants.
Jeremiah 31:18 - “I have heard the groans of Ephraim’s people. They say, ‘You corrected us like a calf you were training. And we have been trained. Bring us back to you, and we will come back. You are the Lord our God.
Jeremiah 31:19 - After we wandered away from you, we turned away from our sins. After we learned our lesson, we beat our chests in sorrow. We were full of shame. What we did when we were young brought dishonor on us.’
Jeremiah 31:20 - Aren’t the people of Ephraim my dear children? Aren’t they the children I take delight in? I often speak against them. But I still remember them. So my heart longs for them. I love them with a tender love,” announces the Lord.
Isaiah 26:8 - Lord, we are living the way your laws command us to live. We are waiting for you to act. We want your honor and fame to be known.
Isaiah 26:9 - My heart longs for you at night. My spirit longs for you in the morning. You will come and judge the earth. Then the people of the world will learn to do what is right.
Psalm 103:17 - But the Lord’s love for those who have respect for him lasts for ever and ever. Their children’s children will know that he always does what is right.
Exodus 29:42 - “For all time to come, this burnt offering must be sacrificed regularly. Sacrifice it at the entrance to the tent of meeting in front of the Lord. There I will meet with you and speak to you.
Exodus 29:43 - There I will also meet with the people of Israel. My glory will make the place holy.
Philippians 3:13 - Brothers and sisters, I don’t consider that I have taken hold of it yet. But here is the one thing I do. I forget what is behind me. I push hard toward what is ahead of me.
Philippians 3:14 - I push myself forward toward the goal to win the prize. God has appointed me to win it. The heavenly prize is Christ Jesus himself.
Philippians 3:15 - So all of us who are grown up in the faith should see things this way. Maybe you think differently about something. But God will make it clear to you.
Exodus 25:22 - The ark is where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. I will meet with you above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark. There I will give you all my commands for the Israelites.
Isaiah 63:10 - But they refused to obey him. They made his Holy Spirit sad. So he turned against them and became their enemy. He himself fought against them.
Hebrews 4:16 - So let us boldly approach God’s throne of grace. Then we will receive mercy. We will find grace to help us when we need it.
Exodus 20:24 - “ ‘Make an altar out of dirt for me. Sacrifice your burnt offerings and friendship offerings on it. Sacrifice your sheep, goats and cattle on it. I will come to you and bless you everywhere I cause my name to be honored.
Psalm 90:7 - Your anger destroys us. Your burning anger terrifies us.
Psalm 90:8 - You have put our sins right in front of you. You have placed our secret sins where you can see them clearly.
Psalm 90:9 - You have been angry with us all of our days. We groan as we come to the end of our lives.
