  • Daniel 5:7 - The king cried aloud to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke and said to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and shows me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”
  • Daniel 4:6 - Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream.

  • 2 Chronicles 25:19 - You say to yourself that you have struck Edom; and your heart lifts you up to boast. Now stay at home. Why should you meddle with trouble, that you should fall, even you, and Judah with you?’”
  • 2 Chronicles 25:20 - But Amaziah would not listen; for it was of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they had sought after the gods of Edom.
  • Isaiah 19:1 - The burden of Egypt. “Behold, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt within it.
  • Job 5:12 - He frustrates the plans of the crafty, So that their hands can’t perform their enterprise.

  • Isaiah 19:11 - The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish. The counsel of the wisest counselors of Pharaoh has become stupid. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?”
  • Isaiah 19:12 - Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you now; and let them know what Yahweh of Armies has purposed concerning Egypt.
  • Isaiah 19:13 - The princes of Zoan have become fools. The princes of Memphis are deceived. They have caused Egypt to go astray, who are the cornerstone of her tribes.
  • Isaiah 57:16 - For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls whom I have made.
  • 1 Chronicles 10:13 - So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against Yahweh, because of Yahweh’s word, which he didn’t keep; and also because he asked counsel of one who had a familiar spirit, to inquire,
  • Daniel 2:2 - Then the king commanded that the magicians, the enchanters, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans be called to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.
  • Isaiah 8:19 - When they tell you, “Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter,” shouldn’t a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?
