  • Ezekiel 38:8 - After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.

  • Jeremiah 50:46 - At the sound of Babylon’s capture the earth will tremble; its cry will resound among the nations.
  • Zechariah 14:13 - On that day people will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another.
  • Zechariah 14:14 - Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected—great quantities of gold and silver and clothing.
  • Jeremiah 50:14 - “Take up your positions around Babylon, all you who draw the bow. Shoot at her! Spare no arrows, for she has sinned against the Lord.
  • Jeremiah 50:15 - Shout against her on every side! She surrenders, her towers fall, her walls are torn down. Since this is the vengeance of the Lord, take vengeance on her; do to her as she has done to others.
  • Isaiah 22:1 - A prophecy against the Valley of Vision: What troubles you now, that you have all gone up on the roofs,
  • Isaiah 22:2 - you town so full of commotion, you city of tumult and revelry? Your slain were not killed by the sword, nor did they die in battle.
  • Isaiah 22:3 - All your leaders have fled together; they have been captured without using the bow. All you who were caught were taken prisoner together, having fled while the enemy was still far away.
  • Isaiah 22:4 - Therefore I said, “Turn away from me; let me weep bitterly. Do not try to console me over the destruction of my people.”
  • Isaiah 22:5 - The Lord, the Lord Almighty, has a day of tumult and trampling and terror in the Valley of Vision, a day of battering down walls and of crying out to the mountains.
  • Isaiah 22:6 - Elam takes up the quiver, with her charioteers and horses; Kir uncovers the shield.
  • Isaiah 22:7 - Your choicest valleys are full of chariots, and horsemen are posted at the city gates.
  • Isaiah 22:8 - The Lord stripped away the defenses of Judah, and you looked in that day to the weapons in the Palace of the Forest.
  • Isaiah 22:9 - You saw that the walls of the City of David were broken through in many places; you stored up water in the Lower Pool.
  • Joel 2:25 - “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you.
  • Joel 2:1 - Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand—
  • Joel 2:2 - a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come.
  • Joel 2:3 - Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste— nothing escapes them.
  • Joel 2:4 - They have the appearance of horses; they gallop along like cavalry.
  • Joel 2:5 - With a noise like that of chariots they leap over the mountaintops, like a crackling fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army drawn up for battle.
  • Joel 2:6 - At the sight of them, nations are in anguish; every face turns pale.
  • Joel 2:7 - They charge like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers. They all march in line, not swerving from their course.
  • Joel 2:8 - They do not jostle each other; each marches straight ahead. They plunge through defenses without breaking ranks.
  • Joel 2:9 - They rush upon the city; they run along the wall. They climb into the houses; like thieves they enter through the windows.
  • Joel 2:10 - Before them the earth shakes, the heavens tremble, the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars no longer shine.
  • Joel 2:11 - The Lord thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty is the army that obeys his command. The day of the Lord is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?
  • Ezekiel 38:3 - and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal.
  • Ezekiel 38:4 - I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.
  • Ezekiel 38:5 - Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets,
  • Ezekiel 38:6 - also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.
  • Ezekiel 38:7 - “ ‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them.
  • Ezekiel 38:8 - After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.
  • Ezekiel 38:9 - You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.
  • Ezekiel 38:10 - “ ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme.
  • Ezekiel 38:11 - You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars.
  • Ezekiel 38:12 - I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land. ”
  • Ezekiel 38:13 - Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, “Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?” ’
  • Ezekiel 38:14 - “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it?
  • Ezekiel 38:15 - You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army.
  • Ezekiel 38:16 - You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.
  • Ezekiel 38:17 - “ ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You are the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel. At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them.
  • Ezekiel 38:18 - This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord.
  • Ezekiel 38:19 - In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.
  • Ezekiel 38:20 - The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.
  • Ezekiel 38:21 - I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
  • Ezekiel 38:22 - I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.
  • Ezekiel 38:23 - And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’
  • Revelation 19:11 - I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.
  • Revelation 19:12 - His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.
  • Revelation 19:13 - He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
  • Revelation 19:14 - The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
  • Revelation 19:15 - Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
  • Revelation 19:16 - On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.
  • Revelation 19:17 - And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God,
  • Revelation 19:18 - so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”
  • Revelation 19:19 - Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.
  • Revelation 19:20 - But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
  • Revelation 19:21 - The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
  • Joel 3:14 - Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
