  • Jeremiah 13:12 - “Say this to them: ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Every jar should be filled with wine.’ Then they will respond to you, ‘Don’t we know that every jar should be filled with wine?’
  • Jeremiah 13:13 - And you will say to them, ‘This is what the Lord says: I am about to fill all who live in this land — the kings who reign for David on his throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the residents of Jerusalem — with drunkenness.
  • Jeremiah 13:14 - I will smash them against each other, fathers and sons alike — this is the Lord’s declaration. I will allow no mercy, pity, or compassion to keep me from destroying them.’”

  • Ezekiel 15:1 - Then the word of the Lord came to me:
  • Ezekiel 15:2 - “Son of man, how does the wood of the vine, that branch among the trees of the forest, compare to any other wood?
  • Ezekiel 15:3 - Can wood be taken from it to make something useful? Or can anyone make a peg from it to hang things on?
  • Ezekiel 15:4 - In fact, it is put into the fire as fuel. The fire devours both of its ends, and the middle is charred. Can it be useful for anything?
  • Ezekiel 15:5 - Even when it was whole it could not be made into a useful object. How much less can it ever be made into anything useful when the fire has devoured it and it is charred!”
  • Ezekiel 15:6 - Therefore, this is what the Lord God says, “Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire as fuel, so I will give up the residents of Jerusalem.
  • Ezekiel 15:7 - I will turn against them. They may have escaped from the fire, but it will still consume them. And you will know that I am the Lord when I turn against them.
  • Ezekiel 15:8 - I will make the land desolate because they have acted unfaithfully.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.
  • Acts 2:17 - And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all people; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
  • Jeremiah 7:25 - Since the day your ancestors came out of the land of Egypt until today, I have sent all my servants the prophets to you time and time again.
  • Joel 2:28 - After this I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions.
  • Ezekiel 20:49 - Then I said, “Oh, Lord God, they are saying of me, ‘Isn’t he just composing parables?’”
  • 2 Kings 17:13 - Still, the Lord warned Israel and Judah through every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways and keep my commands and statutes according to the whole law I commanded your ancestors and sent to you through my servants the prophets.”
