  • Isaiah 26:21 - Look! The Lord is coming from heaven to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will no longer hide those who have been killed. They will be brought out for all to see.

  • Zephaniah 2:3 - Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.
  • 2 Peter 2:5 - And God did not spare the ancient world—except for Noah and the seven others in his family. Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment. So God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood.
  • 2 Peter 2:6 - Later, God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and turned them into heaps of ashes. He made them an example of what will happen to ungodly people.

  • 2 Peter 2:8 - Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day.
  • 2 Peter 2:9 - So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
  • Luke 17:26 - “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day.
  • Hebrews 11:7 - It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.
  • Genesis 7:7 - He went on board the boat to escape the flood—he and his wife and his sons and their wives.
  • 1 Peter 3:20 - those who disobeyed God long ago when God waited patiently while Noah was building his boat. Only eight people were saved from drowning in that terrible flood.
  • Matthew 24:37 - “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day.
  • Matthew 24:38 - In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat.
