  • Deuteronomy 1:33 - who goes before you looking for the best places to camp, guiding you with a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day.
  • Numbers 14:14 - Now if you destroy them, the Egyptians will send a report to the inhabitants of this land, who have already heard that you live among your people. They know, Lord, that you have appeared to your people face to face and that your pillar of cloud hovers over them. They know that you go before them in the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.
  • Numbers 9:15 - On the day the Tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered it. But from evening until morning the cloud over the Tabernacle looked like a pillar of fire.

  • Numbers 9:20 - Sometimes the cloud would stay over the Tabernacle for only a few days, so the people would stay for only a few days, as the Lord commanded. Then at the Lord’s command they would break camp and move on.
  • Numbers 9:21 - Sometimes the cloud stayed only overnight and lifted the next morning. But day or night, when the cloud lifted, the people broke camp and moved on.
  • Numbers 9:22 - Whether the cloud stayed above the Tabernacle for two days, a month, or a year, the people of Israel stayed in camp and did not move on. But as soon as it lifted, they broke camp and moved on.
  • Numbers 9:23 - So they camped or traveled at the Lord’s command, and they did whatever the Lord told them through Moses.
  • Psalms 99:7 - He spoke to Israel from the pillar of cloud, and they followed the laws and decrees he gave them.
  • Psalms 105:39 - The Lord spread a cloud above them as a covering and gave them a great fire to light the darkness.
  • Nehemiah 9:12 - You led our ancestors by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night so that they could find their way.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:1 - I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:2 - In the cloud and in the sea, all of them were baptized as followers of Moses.
