Exodus 29:15 - “And you shall take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram;
Exodus 29:16 - then you shall kill the ram and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it around the altar [of burnt offering].

Numbers 8:9 - You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), and you shall also assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel,
Numbers 8:10 - and present the Levites before the Lord, and the Israelites shall lay their hands on the Levites.
Numbers 8:11 - Aaron shall present the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the Israelites, so that they may perform the service of the Lord.
Numbers 8:12 - Then the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, then you are to offer the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites.
Numbers 8:13 - You shall have the Levites stand before Aaron and his sons and present them as a wave offering to the Lord.

Numbers 8:19 - I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the Israelites, to perform the service of the Israelites at the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) and to make atonement for them, so that there will be no plague among the Israelites if they should approach the sanctuary.”
Numbers 8:20 - Thus Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did [these things] to the Levites; in accordance with all that the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the Israelites did to them.
Numbers 8:21 - The Levites, too, purified themselves from sin and they washed their clothes; and Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the Lord, and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
Numbers 8:22 - Then after that the Levites went in to perform their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and his sons; just as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
Numbers 8:23 - Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

Numbers 18:1 - So the Lord said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your father’s household (family) with you shall bear the guilt in connection with the sanctuary [that is, through your service as priests you will atone for the offenses which the people unknowingly commit when brought into contact with the manifestations of God’s presence]; and you and your sons with you shall bear the guilt in connection with your priesthood [that is, your own unintentional offenses].
Numbers 18:2 - But bring with you also your brothers, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father (ancestor), so that they may join with you and serve you [as assistants], while you and your sons with you are before the Tent of the Testimony [the Holy Place where only priests may go, and the Most Holy Place which only the high priest may enter].
Numbers 18:3 - And the Levites shall attend to your duty [as assistants] and to the duties of all the tent (tabernacle); only they shall not approach the articles of the sanctuary and the altar, or both they and you will die.
Numbers 18:4 - They shall join you and attend to the duties of the Tent of Meeting—all the service of the tent—and no stranger [no layman, anyone who is not a Levite] may approach you [and your sons].
Numbers 18:5 - So you shall attend to the duties of the sanctuary and the duties of the altar [of burnt offering and the altar of incense], so that there will no longer be wrath on the Israelites [as with Korah, Dathan, and Abiram].
Numbers 18:6 - Behold, I Myself have taken your fellow Levites from among the sons of Israel; they are a gift to you, given (dedicated) to the Lord, to do the service for the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle).
Numbers 18:7 - Therefore you and your sons with you shall attend to your priesthood for everything concerning the altar [of burnt offering and the altar of incense] and [of the Holy of Holies] within the veil, and you are to serve. I am giving you the priesthood as a bestowed service, but the stranger (outsider, layman) who approaches shall be put to death.”
Numbers 18:8 - Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, “Now behold, I [the Lord] have entrusted you with My heave offerings, even all the holy gifts of the Israelites, I have given them to you as a portion, and to your sons as a continual allotment.
Numbers 18:9 - This shall be yours of the most holy things, [reserved] from the fire: every offering of the people, every grain offering and sin offering and guilt offering, which they shall render (give) to Me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.
Numbers 18:10 - You shall eat it as the most holy thing; every male [of your family] shall eat it. It shall be holy to you.
Numbers 18:11 - This also is yours: the heave offering of their gift, including all the wave offerings of the Israelites. I have given them to you and to your sons and to your daughters with you as a continual allotment; everyone in your household who is [ceremonially] clean may eat it.
Numbers 18:12 - All the best of the fresh [olive] oil, and all the best of the new wine and of the grain, the first fruits of those which they give to the Lord, I give them to you.
Numbers 18:13 - The first ripe fruits of all that is in the land, which they bring to the Lord, shall be yours; everyone in your household who is [ceremonially] clean may eat it.
Numbers 18:14 - Every devoted thing in Israel [everything that has been promised to the Lord with an oath] shall be yours.
Numbers 18:15 - Every firstborn of the womb of all flesh, whether it is man or animal, which they bring to the Lord, shall be yours; nevertheless, the firstborn of man you shall most certainly redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem.
Numbers 18:16 - And their redemption price, from a month old you shall redeem, according to your valuation, for the [fixed] price of five shekels in silver, in accordance with the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
Numbers 18:17 - But the firstborn of a cow or of a sheep or of a goat you shall not redeem; they are holy [and belong to the Lord]. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and shall offer up their fat in smoke as an offering by fire, for a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.
Numbers 18:18 - Their meat shall be yours, like the breast of a wave offering and like the right thigh.
Numbers 18:19 - All the offerings of the holy things, which the Israelites offer to the Lord I have given to you and to your sons and your daughters with you as a continual allotment. It is an everlasting covenant of salt [that cannot be dissolved or violated] before the Lord to you and to your descendants with you.”
Numbers 18:20 - Then the Lord said to Aaron, “You shall have no inheritance in the land [of the Israelites], nor have any portion [of land] among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel.
Numbers 18:21 - “Behold, I have given the Levites all the tithe in Israel as an inheritance, in return for their service which they perform, the service of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle).
Numbers 18:22 - The Israelites shall never again approach the Tent of Meeting [the covered sanctuary, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies], or they [who do] will incur sin and die.
Numbers 18:23 - Only the Levites shall perform the service of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), and they shall bear their iniquity; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, that the Levites shall have no inheritance [of land] among the children of Israel.
Numbers 18:24 - But the tithe of the Israelites, which they present as an offering to the Lord, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance; therefore I have said to them, ‘They shall have no inheritance among the children of Israel.’ ”
Numbers 18:25 - Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Numbers 18:26 - “Moreover, you shall speak to the Levites and say to them, ‘When you take from the Israelites the tithe which I have given to you from them as your inheritance, then you shall present an offering from it to the Lord, a tithe of the tithe [paid by the people].
Numbers 18:27 - Your offering shall be credited to you as the grain from the threshing floor or as the full produce from the wine vat.
Numbers 18:28 - Likewise you shall also present an offering to the Lord from all your tithes, which you receive from the Israelites; and from it you shall give the Lord’s offering to Aaron the priest.
Numbers 18:29 - Out of all your gifts, you shall present every offering due to the Lord, from all the best of it, even the sacred part from them.’
Numbers 18:30 - Therefore you shall say to them, ‘When you have offered the best from it, then the rest shall be credited to the Levites as the product of the threshing floor, and as the product of the wine vat.
Numbers 18:31 - You may eat it anywhere, you and [the members of] your households, for it is your compensation in return for your service in the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle).
Numbers 18:32 - You will bear no sin because of it when you have offered the best of it; but you shall not profane the sacred gifts of the children of Israel, or you will die [because of it].’ ”
Numbers 6:23 - “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them:
Numbers 6:24 - The Lord bless you, and keep you [protect you, sustain you, and guard you];

Exodus 29:1 - “This is what you shall do to consecrate Aaron and his sons so that they may serve Me as priests: take one young bull and two rams, without blemish,
Exodus 29:2 - and unleavened bread and unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil; you shall make them of fine wheat flour.
Exodus 29:3 - You shall put them in one basket, and present them in the basket along with the bull and the two rams.

Exodus 29:12 - And you shall take some of the blood of the bull and with your finger put it on the horns of the altar [of burnt offering], and you shall pour out the remainder of the blood at the base of the altar.
Exodus 29:13 - You shall take all the fat that covers the intestines and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and offer them up in smoke on the altar.
Exodus 29:14 - But the meat of the bull, its hide, and the contents of its intestines you shall burn in the fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering.
Exodus 29:15 - “And you shall take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram;
Exodus 29:16 - then you shall kill the ram and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it around the altar [of burnt offering].
Exodus 29:17 - Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and wash its intestines and legs, and place them with its pieces and its head,
Exodus 29:18 - and you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord: it is a sweet and soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord.
Exodus 29:19 - “Then you shall take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.
Exodus 29:20 - Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ears of Aaron and his sons and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet, and sprinkle the [rest of the] blood around on the altar [of burnt offering].
Exodus 29:21 - Then you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. Now Aaron and his garments and his sons and their garments shall be consecrated (dedicated, made holy, declared sacred for God’s purpose).
Exodus 29:22 - “You shall also take the fat of the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the intestines, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and the right thigh; (for it is a ram of ordination),
Exodus 29:23 - and one loaf of bread and one cake of oiled bread and one wafer out of the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the Lord;
Exodus 29:24 - and you shall put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and wave them as a wave offering before the Lord.
Exodus 29:25 - Then you shall take them from their hands, add them to the burnt offering, and burn them on the altar for a sweet and soothing aroma before the Lord; it is an offering by fire to the Lord.
Exodus 29:26 - “Then you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s ordination, and wave it as a wave offering before the Lord; and it shall be your (Moses) portion.
Exodus 29:27 - You shall consecrate the waved breast offering [of the ram] used in the ordination and the waved thigh offering of the priests’ portion, since it is [a contribution] for Aaron and for his sons.
Exodus 29:28 - It shall be for Aaron and his sons as their due portion from the Israelites forever, for it is a heave offering. It shall be a heave offering to the Lord from the Israelites from the sacrifices of their peace offerings.
Exodus 29:29 - “The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, to be anointed and ordained in them.
Exodus 29:30 - That son who is [high] priest in his place shall put them on [each day for] seven days when he comes into the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place.
Exodus 29:31 - “You shall take the ram of the ordination and boil its meat in a holy place.
Exodus 29:32 - Aaron and his sons shall eat the meat of the ram and the bread in the basket, at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting.
Exodus 29:33 - They shall eat those things by which atonement was made at their ordination and consecration; but a layman shall not eat them, because they are holy [that is, set apart to the worship of God].
Exodus 29:34 - And if any of the meat of ordination or the bread remains until morning, you shall burn it in the fire; it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.
Exodus 29:35 - “So you shall do to Aaron and to his sons in accordance with all I have commanded you; during seven days you are to ordain them.
Exodus 29:36 - You shall offer a bull every day as a sin offering for atonement. You shall cleanse the altar from sin when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to consecrate it [for God’s sacred purpose].
Exodus 29:37 - For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar [of burnt offering] and consecrate it; then the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar must be holy (set apart for God’s service).

Acts 13:2 - While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul (Paul) for the work to which I have called them.”
1 Kings 8:3 - All the elders of Israel came, and the priests carried the ark.
1 Kings 8:4 - They brought up the ark of the Lord and the Tent of Meeting and all the holy utensils that were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up.
Numbers 3:31 - Now their responsibilities involved the ark, the table [on which the bread of the Presence was placed], the lampstand, the altars, the utensils of the sanctuary with which the priests minister, and the curtain, and all the service concerning them.
1 Kings 8:6 - Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, into the Holy of Holies, under the wings of the cherubim.
Galatians 1:15 - But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased
Numbers 8:1 - Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Numbers 8:2 - “Speak to Aaron and say to him, ‘When you set up and light the lamps, the seven lamps will shine in front of the lampstand.’ ”
Numbers 8:3 - And Aaron did so; he set up the lamps at the front of the lampstand, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Numbers 8:4 - Now this was the workmanship of the lampstand: hammered work of gold; from its base to its flowers it was hammered work; according to the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
Numbers 8:5 - Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Numbers 8:6 - “Take the Levites from among the sons of Israel and cleanse them.
Numbers 8:7 - This is what you shall do to them to [ceremonially] cleanse them: sprinkle the water of purification on them, and let them use a razor over their whole body and wash their clothes, and they will be clean.
Numbers 8:8 - Then let them take a young bull and its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, and you shall take another young bull as a sin offering.
Numbers 8:9 - You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), and you shall also assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel,
Numbers 8:10 - and present the Levites before the Lord, and the Israelites shall lay their hands on the Levites.
Numbers 8:11 - Aaron shall present the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering from the Israelites, so that they may perform the service of the Lord.
Numbers 8:12 - Then the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, then you are to offer the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites.
Numbers 8:13 - You shall have the Levites stand before Aaron and his sons and present them as a wave offering to the Lord.
Numbers 8:14 - “Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the Israelites, and the Levites shall be Mine [in a very special sense].
Numbers 8:15 - Then after that the Levites may go in to serve the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), but you shall cleanse them [first] and present them as a wave offering;
Numbers 8:16 - for they are wholly given to Me from among the Israelites. I have taken them for Myself instead of all who are born first, the firstborn of all the Israelites.
Numbers 8:17 - For all the firstborn among the Israelites are Mine, among the men and among the animals; on the day that I struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified and set the Israelites apart for Myself.
Numbers 8:18 - And I have taken the Levites instead of every firstborn among the Israelites.
Numbers 8:19 - I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the Israelites, to perform the service of the Israelites at the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) and to make atonement for them, so that there will be no plague among the Israelites if they should approach the sanctuary.”
Numbers 8:20 - Thus Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did [these things] to the Levites; in accordance with all that the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the Israelites did to them.
Numbers 8:21 - The Levites, too, purified themselves from sin and they washed their clothes; and Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the Lord, and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
Numbers 8:22 - Then after that the Levites went in to perform their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and his sons; just as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
Numbers 8:23 - Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Numbers 8:24 - “This is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall enter to perform service in the work of the Tent of Meeting,
Numbers 8:25 - but at the age of fifty years, they shall retire from the service of the [tabernacle] work and serve no longer.
Numbers 8:26 - They may assist their brothers in the Tent of Meeting to keep an obligation, but they shall do no [heavy or difficult] work. Thus you shall deal with the Levites concerning their obligations.”
Ezekiel 44:11 - Yet they shall minister in My sanctuary, having oversight [as guards] at the gates of the temple and ministering in the temple. They shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them.
2 Corinthians 6:17 - So come out from among unbelievers and be separate,” says the Lord, “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will graciously receive you and welcome you [with favor],
Leviticus 8:9 - He also put the turban on Aaron’s head, and on it, in the front, Moses placed the golden plate, the holy crown, just as the Lord had commanded him.
Leviticus 9:22 - Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them, and came down [from the altar of burnt offering] after presenting the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings.
Numbers 16:9 - does it seem but a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them;
Numbers 16:10 - and that He has brought you near [to Him], Korah and all your brothers, sons of Levi with you? Would you seek the priesthood also?
1 Chronicles 15:26 - Because God was helping the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord [to do it carefully and safely], they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
Numbers 1:47 - The Levites, however, were not numbered among them by their fathers’ tribe.
Numbers 1:48 - For the Lord had said to Moses,
Numbers 1:49 - “Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor shall you take their census among the sons of Israel [since they are unavailable to go to war].
Numbers 1:50 - But appoint the Levites over the tabernacle (sanctuary) of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings and all things that belong to it. They shall carry the tabernacle [when traveling] and all its furnishings, and they shall take care of it and camp around it.
Numbers 1:51 - When the tabernacle is to go forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to [be set up for] camp, the Levites shall set it up. But the layman (non-Levite) who approaches the tabernacle shall be put to death.
Numbers 1:52 - The Israelites shall camp according to their armies, every man by his own camp and every man by his own [tribal] standard (banner).
Numbers 1:53 - But the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony, so that there will be no wrath against the congregation of the Israelites. The Levites shall be in charge of the tabernacle of the Testimony.”
1 Chronicles 15:12 - and he said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites; consecrate yourselves, both you and your relatives, so that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.
1 Chronicles 15:13 - Because you did not [carry it as God directed] the first time, the Lord our God made an [angry] outburst against us, for we did not seek Him in accordance with the ordinance.”
1 Chronicles 15:14 - So the priests and the Levites consecrated (dedicated) themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel.
1 Chronicles 15:15 - The Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles, as Moses commanded in accordance with the word of the Lord.
John 15:16 - You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.
Numbers 18:1 - So the Lord said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your father’s household (family) with you shall bear the guilt in connection with the sanctuary [that is, through your service as priests you will atone for the offenses which the people unknowingly commit when brought into contact with the manifestations of God’s presence]; and you and your sons with you shall bear the guilt in connection with your priesthood [that is, your own unintentional offenses].
Numbers 18:2 - But bring with you also your brothers, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father (ancestor), so that they may join with you and serve you [as assistants], while you and your sons with you are before the Tent of the Testimony [the Holy Place where only priests may go, and the Most Holy Place which only the high priest may enter].
Numbers 18:3 - And the Levites shall attend to your duty [as assistants] and to the duties of all the tent (tabernacle); only they shall not approach the articles of the sanctuary and the altar, or both they and you will die.
Numbers 18:4 - They shall join you and attend to the duties of the Tent of Meeting—all the service of the tent—and no stranger [no layman, anyone who is not a Levite] may approach you [and your sons].
Numbers 18:5 - So you shall attend to the duties of the sanctuary and the duties of the altar [of burnt offering and the altar of incense], so that there will no longer be wrath on the Israelites [as with Korah, Dathan, and Abiram].
Numbers 18:6 - Behold, I Myself have taken your fellow Levites from among the sons of Israel; they are a gift to you, given (dedicated) to the Lord, to do the service for the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle).
Numbers 18:7 - Therefore you and your sons with you shall attend to your priesthood for everything concerning the altar [of burnt offering and the altar of incense] and [of the Holy of Holies] within the veil, and you are to serve. I am giving you the priesthood as a bestowed service, but the stranger (outsider, layman) who approaches shall be put to death.”
Numbers 18:8 - Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, “Now behold, I [the Lord] have entrusted you with My heave offerings, even all the holy gifts of the Israelites, I have given them to you as a portion, and to your sons as a continual allotment.
Numbers 18:9 - This shall be yours of the most holy things, [reserved] from the fire: every offering of the people, every grain offering and sin offering and guilt offering, which they shall render (give) to Me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.
Numbers 18:10 - You shall eat it as the most holy thing; every male [of your family] shall eat it. It shall be holy to you.
Numbers 18:11 - This also is yours: the heave offering of their gift, including all the wave offerings of the Israelites. I have given them to you and to your sons and to your daughters with you as a continual allotment; everyone in your household who is [ceremonially] clean may eat it.
Numbers 18:12 - All the best of the fresh [olive] oil, and all the best of the new wine and of the grain, the first fruits of those which they give to the Lord, I give them to you.
Numbers 18:13 - The first ripe fruits of all that is in the land, which they bring to the Lord, shall be yours; everyone in your household who is [ceremonially] clean may eat it.
Numbers 18:14 - Every devoted thing in Israel [everything that has been promised to the Lord with an oath] shall be yours.
Numbers 18:15 - Every firstborn of the womb of all flesh, whether it is man or animal, which they bring to the Lord, shall be yours; nevertheless, the firstborn of man you shall most certainly redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem.
Numbers 18:16 - And their redemption price, from a month old you shall redeem, according to your valuation, for the [fixed] price of five shekels in silver, in accordance with the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs.
Numbers 18:17 - But the firstborn of a cow or of a sheep or of a goat you shall not redeem; they are holy [and belong to the Lord]. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and shall offer up their fat in smoke as an offering by fire, for a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.
Numbers 18:18 - Their meat shall be yours, like the breast of a wave offering and like the right thigh.
Numbers 18:19 - All the offerings of the holy things, which the Israelites offer to the Lord I have given to you and to your sons and your daughters with you as a continual allotment. It is an everlasting covenant of salt [that cannot be dissolved or violated] before the Lord to you and to your descendants with you.”
Numbers 18:20 - Then the Lord said to Aaron, “You shall have no inheritance in the land [of the Israelites], nor have any portion [of land] among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel.
Numbers 18:21 - “Behold, I have given the Levites all the tithe in Israel as an inheritance, in return for their service which they perform, the service of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle).
Numbers 18:22 - The Israelites shall never again approach the Tent of Meeting [the covered sanctuary, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies], or they [who do] will incur sin and die.
Numbers 18:23 - Only the Levites shall perform the service of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), and they shall bear their iniquity; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, that the Levites shall have no inheritance [of land] among the children of Israel.
Numbers 18:24 - But the tithe of the Israelites, which they present as an offering to the Lord, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance; therefore I have said to them, ‘They shall have no inheritance among the children of Israel.’ ”
Numbers 18:25 - Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Numbers 18:26 - “Moreover, you shall speak to the Levites and say to them, ‘When you take from the Israelites the tithe which I have given to you from them as your inheritance, then you shall present an offering from it to the Lord, a tithe of the tithe [paid by the people].
Numbers 18:27 - Your offering shall be credited to you as the grain from the threshing floor or as the full produce from the wine vat.
Numbers 18:28 - Likewise you shall also present an offering to the Lord from all your tithes, which you receive from the Israelites; and from it you shall give the Lord’s offering to Aaron the priest.
Numbers 18:29 - Out of all your gifts, you shall present every offering due to the Lord, from all the best of it, even the sacred part from them.’
Numbers 18:30 - Therefore you shall say to them, ‘When you have offered the best from it, then the rest shall be credited to the Levites as the product of the threshing floor, and as the product of the wine vat.
Numbers 18:31 - You may eat it anywhere, you and [the members of] your households, for it is your compensation in return for your service in the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle).
Numbers 18:32 - You will bear no sin because of it when you have offered the best of it; but you shall not profane the sacred gifts of the children of Israel, or you will die [because of it].’ ”
Numbers 6:23 - “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them:
Numbers 6:24 - The Lord bless you, and keep you [protect you, sustain you, and guard you];
Numbers 6:25 - The Lord make His face shine upon you [with favor], And be gracious to you [surrounding you with lovingkindness];
Numbers 6:26 - The Lord lift up His countenance (face) upon you [with divine approval], And give you peace [a tranquil heart and life].’
2 Chronicles 30:27 - Then the priests and Levites stood and blessed the people; and their voice was heard and their prayer came up to His holy dwelling place, to heaven.
Jeremiah 15:19 - Therefore, thus says the Lord [to Jeremiah], “If you repent [and give up this mistaken attitude of despair and self-pity], then I will restore you [to a state of inner peace] So that you may stand before Me [as My obedient representative]; And if you separate the precious from the worthless [examining yourself and cleansing your heart from unwarranted doubt concerning My faithfulness], You will become My spokesman. Let the people turn to you [and learn to value My values]— But you, you must not turn to them [with regard for their idolatry and wickedness].
Numbers 3:6 - “Bring the tribe of Levi near and present them before Aaron the priest, so that they may serve him.
Deuteronomy 18:5 - For the Lord your God has chosen him, him and his sons from all your tribes, to stand and serve in the name of the Lord forever.
Numbers 4:15 - When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all its furniture, as the camp sets out, after all that [is done, but not before], the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them [using the poles], so that they do not touch the holy things, and die. These are the things in the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) which the sons of Kohath are to carry.
Deuteronomy 21:5 - Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall approach, for the Lord your God has chosen them to serve Him and to bless in the Name (Presence) of the Lord; and every dispute and every assault (violent crime) shall be settled by them.
