Galatians 2:6 - And the leaders of the church had nothing to add to what I was preaching. (By the way, their reputation as great leaders made no difference to me, for God has no favorites.)

2 Kings 18:4 - He removed the pagan shrines, smashed the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke up the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because the people of Israel had been offering sacrifices to it. The bronze serpent was called Nehushtan.
Galatians 2:14 - When I saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, “Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions?
2 Chronicles 34:4 - He ordered that the altars of Baal be demolished and that the incense altars which stood above them be broken down. He also made sure that the Asherah poles, the carved idols, and the cast images were smashed and scattered over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.
2 Chronicles 15:15 - All in Judah were happy about this covenant, for they had entered into it with all their heart. They earnestly sought after God, and they found him. And the Lord gave them rest from their enemies on every side.
2 Chronicles 15:16 - King Asa even deposed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother because she had made an obscene Asherah pole. He cut down her obscene pole, broke it up, and burned it in the Kidron Valley.
2 Chronicles 15:17 - Although the pagan shrines were not removed from Israel, Asa’s heart remained completely faithful throughout his life.
2 Chronicles 15:18 - He brought into the Temple of God the silver and gold and the various items that he and his father had dedicated.
2 Chronicles 15:19 - So there was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
2 Kings 23:12 - Josiah tore down the altars that the kings of Judah had built on the palace roof above the upper room of Ahaz. The king destroyed the altars that Manasseh had built in the two courtyards of the Lord’s Temple. He smashed them to bits and scattered the pieces in the Kidron Valley.
2 Kings 23:13 - The king also desecrated the pagan shrines east of Jerusalem, to the south of the Mount of Corruption, where King Solomon of Israel had built shrines for Ashtoreth, the detestable goddess of the Sidonians; and for Chemosh, the detestable god of the Moabites; and for Molech, the vile god of the Ammonites.
2 Kings 23:14 - He smashed the sacred pillars and cut down the Asherah poles. Then he desecrated these places by scattering human bones over them.
2 Kings 23:15 - The king also tore down the altar at Bethel—the pagan shrine that Jeroboam son of Nebat had made when he caused Israel to sin. He burned down the shrine and ground it to dust, and he burned the Asherah pole.
Deuteronomy 7:5 - This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols.
Deuteronomy 13:6 - “Suppose someone secretly entices you—even your brother, your son or daughter, your beloved wife, or your closest friend—and says, ‘Let us go worship other gods’—gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known.

Deuteronomy 13:11 - Then all Israel will hear about it and be afraid, and no one will act so wickedly again.
Deuteronomy 33:9 - The Levites obeyed your word and guarded your covenant. They were more loyal to you than to their own parents. They ignored their relatives and did not acknowledge their own children.
Leviticus 26:30 - I will destroy your pagan shrines and knock down your places of worship. I will leave your lifeless corpses piled on top of your lifeless idols, and I will despise you.
1 Kings 15:2 - He reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother was Maacah, the granddaughter of Absalom.
Matthew 12:46 - As Jesus was speaking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him.
Matthew 12:47 - Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, and they want to speak to you.”
Matthew 12:48 - Jesus asked, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
Matthew 12:49 - Then he pointed to his disciples and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers.
Matthew 12:50 - Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

2 Corinthians 5:16 - So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!
2 Kings 23:6 - The king removed the Asherah pole from the Lord’s Temple and took it outside Jerusalem to the Kidron Valley, where he burned it. Then he ground the ashes of the pole to dust and threw the dust over the graves of the people.
John 18:1 - After saying these things, Jesus crossed the Kidron Valley with his disciples and entered a grove of olive trees.
Exodus 32:20 - He took the calf they had made and burned it. Then he ground it into powder, threw it into the water, and forced the people to drink it.
