  • 1 John 3:9 - Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.
  • 1 John 2:24 - So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.
  • 1 John 2:14 - I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:15 - He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
  • Hebrews 6:11 - Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
  • 1 Corinthians 14:1 - Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives—especially the ability to prophesy.
  • Hebrews 6:19 - This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
  • Romans 8:24 - We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it.
  • Romans 8:25 - But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.
  • 1 Corinthians 8:3 - But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes.
  • Colossians 1:27 - For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
  • 1 Corinthians 3:14 - If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.
  • 1 Peter 1:21 - Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.
  • 1 John 5:1 - Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.
  • 1 John 5:2 - We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments.
  • 1 John 5:3 - Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome.
  • 1 John 5:4 - For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
  • 1 John 5:5 - And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
  • Galatians 5:13 - For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
  • Galatians 5:14 - For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • Galatians 5:15 - But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.
  • Galatians 5:16 - So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
  • Galatians 5:17 - The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
  • Galatians 5:18 - But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.
  • Galatians 5:19 - When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,
  • Galatians 5:20 - idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division,
  • Galatians 5:21 - envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
  • Galatians 5:22 - But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:8 - But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.
  • 1 Timothy 1:5 - The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.
  • Lamentations 3:21 - Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this:
  • Lamentations 3:22 - The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.
  • Lamentations 3:23 - Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
  • Lamentations 3:24 - I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
  • Lamentations 3:25 - The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.
  • Lamentations 3:26 - So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.
  • Philippians 1:9 - I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.
  • Mark 12:29 - Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord.
  • Mark 12:30 - And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’
  • Mark 12:31 - The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
  • Galatians 5:6 - For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.
  • 1 John 4:7 - Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
  • 1 John 4:8 - But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
  • 1 John 4:9 - God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
  • 1 John 4:10 - This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
  • 1 John 4:11 - Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
  • 1 John 4:12 - No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
  • 1 John 4:13 - And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
  • 1 John 4:14 - Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
  • 1 John 4:15 - All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
  • 1 John 4:16 - We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
  • 1 John 4:17 - And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.
  • 1 John 4:18 - Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:1 - If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:2 - If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:3 - If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:4 - Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud
  • 1 Corinthians 13:5 - or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:6 - It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:7 - Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:8 - Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!
  • Colossians 3:14 - Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
  • 1 Corinthians 16:14 - And do everything with love.
