  • Isaiah 63:17 - Lord, why have you allowed us to turn from your path? Why have you given us stubborn hearts so we no longer fear you? Return and help us, for we are your servants, the tribes that are your special possession.
  • Isaiah 63:18 - How briefly your holy people possessed your holy place, and now our enemies have destroyed it.
  • Isaiah 63:19 - Sometimes it seems as though we never belonged to you, as though we had never been known as your people.
  • Joshua 4:6 - We will use these stones to build a memorial. In the future your children will ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’
  • Joshua 4:7 - Then you can tell them, ‘They remind us that the Jordan River stopped flowing when the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant went across.’ These stones will stand as a memorial among the people of Israel forever.”
  • Deuteronomy 4:9 - “But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren.

  • Psalms 71:18 - Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.
  • Deuteronomy 6:7 - Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
  • Joel 1:3 - Tell your children about it in the years to come, and let your children tell their children. Pass the story down from generation to generation.
  • Psalms 145:4 - Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.
  • Psalms 145:5 - I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.
  • Psalms 145:6 - Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness.
