  • Haggai 1:6 - You have planted much but harvest little. You eat but are not satisfied. You drink but are still thirsty. You put on clothes but cannot keep warm. Your wages disappear as though you were putting them in pockets filled with holes!
  • Haggai 1:7 - “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Look at what’s happening to you!
  • Haggai 1:8 - Now go up into the hills, bring down timber, and rebuild my house. Then I will take pleasure in it and be honored, says the Lord.
  • Haggai 1:9 - You hoped for rich harvests, but they were poor. And when you brought your harvest home, I blew it away. Why? Because my house lies in ruins, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, while all of you are busy building your own fine houses.
  • Exodus 34:26 - “As you harvest your crops, bring the very best of the first harvest to the house of the Lord your God. “You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
  • Exodus 35:20 - So the whole community of Israel left Moses and returned to their tents.

  • Exodus 35:23 - All those who owned the following items willingly brought them: blue, purple, and scarlet thread; fine linen and goat hair for cloth; and tanned ram skins and fine goatskin leather.
  • Exodus 35:24 - And all who had silver and bronze objects gave them as a sacred offering to the Lord. And those who had acacia wood brought it for use in the project.
  • Exodus 35:25 - All the women who were skilled in sewing and spinning prepared blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen cloth.
  • Exodus 35:26 - All the women who were willing used their skills to spin the goat hair into yarn.
  • Exodus 35:27 - The leaders brought onyx stones and the special gemstones to be set in the ephod and the priest’s chestpiece.
  • Exodus 35:28 - They also brought spices and olive oil for the light, the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense.
  • Exodus 35:29 - So the people of Israel—every man and woman who was eager to help in the work the Lord had given them through Moses—brought their gifts and gave them freely to the Lord.
  • Exodus 22:29 - “You must not hold anything back when you give me offerings from your crops and your wine. “You must give me your firstborn sons.
  • Philippians 4:17 - I don’t say this because I want a gift from you. Rather, I want you to receive a reward for your kindness.
  • Philippians 4:18 - At the moment I have all I need—and more! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God.

  • Deuteronomy 26:2 - put some of the first produce from each crop you harvest into a basket and bring it to the designated place of worship—the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored.
  • Deuteronomy 26:3 - Go to the priest in charge at that time and say to him, ‘With this gift I acknowledge to the Lord your God that I have entered the land he swore to our ancestors he would give us.’
  • Deuteronomy 26:4 - The priest will then take the basket from your hand and set it before the altar of the Lord your God.
  • Deuteronomy 26:5 - “You must then say in the presence of the Lord your God, ‘My ancestor Jacob was a wandering Aramean who went to live as a foreigner in Egypt. His family arrived few in number, but in Egypt they became a large and mighty nation.
  • Deuteronomy 26:6 - When the Egyptians oppressed and humiliated us by making us their slaves,
  • Deuteronomy 26:7 - we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors. He heard our cries and saw our hardship, toil, and oppression.
  • Deuteronomy 26:8 - So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and powerful arm, with overwhelming terror, and with miraculous signs and wonders.
  • Deuteronomy 26:9 - He brought us to this place and gave us this land flowing with milk and honey!
  • Deuteronomy 26:10 - And now, O Lord, I have brought you the first portion of the harvest you have given me from the ground.’ Then place the produce before the Lord your God, and bow to the ground in worship before him.
  • Deuteronomy 26:11 - Afterward you may go and celebrate because of all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your household. Remember to include the Levites and the foreigners living among you in the celebration.
  • Deuteronomy 26:12 - “Every third year you must offer a special tithe of your crops. In this year of the special tithe you must give your tithes to the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows, so that they will have enough to eat in your towns.
  • Deuteronomy 26:13 - Then you must declare in the presence of the Lord your God, ‘I have taken the sacred gift from my house and have given it to the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows, just as you commanded me. I have not violated or forgotten any of your commands.
  • Deuteronomy 26:14 - I have not eaten any of it while in mourning; I have not handled it while I was ceremonially unclean; and I have not offered any of it to the dead. I have obeyed the Lord my God and have done everything you commanded me.
  • Deuteronomy 26:15 - Now look down from your holy dwelling place in heaven and bless your people Israel and the land you swore to our ancestors to give us—a land flowing with milk and honey.’
  • 1 Corinthians 16:2 - On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.
