  • Exodus 32:13 - Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You bound yourself with an oath to them, saying, ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven. And I will give them all of this land that I have promised to your descendants, and they will possess it forever.’”
  • Exodus 32:14 - So the Lord changed his mind about the terrible disaster he had threatened to bring on his people.
  • Isaiah 37:4 - But perhaps the Lord your God has heard the Assyrian chief of staff, sent by the king to defy the living God, and will punish him for his words. Oh, pray for those of us who are left!”
  • Exodus 34:9 - And he said, “O Lord, if it is true that I have found favor with you, then please travel with us. Yes, this is a stubborn and rebellious people, but please forgive our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as your own special possession.”
  • Psalms 78:34 - When God began killing them, they finally sought him. They repented and took God seriously.
  • Psalms 78:35 - Then they remembered that God was their rock, that God Most High was their redeemer.
  • 1 John 2:1 - My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.
  • 1 John 2:2 - He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
  • James 5:16 - Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
  • Numbers 16:45 - “Get away from all these people so that I can instantly destroy them!” But Moses and Aaron fell face down on the ground.
  • Numbers 16:46 - And Moses said to Aaron, “Quick, take an incense burner and place burning coals on it from the altar. Lay incense on it, and carry it out among the people to purify them and make them right with the Lord. The Lord’s anger is blazing against them—the plague has already begun.”
  • Numbers 16:47 - Aaron did as Moses told him and ran out among the people. The plague had already begun to strike down the people, but Aaron burned the incense and purified the people.
  • Numbers 16:48 - He stood between the dead and the living, and the plague stopped.
  • Numbers 21:7 - Then the people came to Moses and cried out, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.
