And this is the real and eternal life: That they know you, The one and only true God, And Jesus Christ, whom you sent. I glorified you on earth By completing down to the last detail What you assigned me to do. And now, Father, glorify me with your very own splendor, The very splendor I had in your presence Before there was a world. * * *
  • Matthew 26:26 - During the meal, Jesus took and blessed the bread, broke it, and gave it to his disciples: Take, eat. This is my body. • 1 Corinthians 10:31 - So eat your meals heartily, not worrying about what others say about you—you’re eating to God’s glory, after all, not to please them. None of us are permitted to insist on our own way in these matters. It’s God we are answerable to—all the way from life to death and everything in between—not each other. That’s why Jesus lived and died and then lived again: so that he could be our Master across the entire range of life and death, and free us from the petty tyrannies of each other.
