  • Matthew 14:30 - But when Peter saw the wind, he was afraid. He began to sink. He cried out, “Lord! Save me!”
  • Matthew 14:31 - Right away Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “Your faith is so small!” he said. “Why did you doubt me?”
  • Job 38:8 - “Who created the ocean? Who caused it to be born?

Wasn’t I strong enough to save you? I dry up the sea with a single command. I turn rivers into a desert. Then fish rot because they do not have any water. They die because they are thirsty.
  • Isaiah 50:3 - I make the sky turn dark. It looks as if it’s dressed in clothing sad people wear.”

  • Mark 6:48 - He saw the disciples pulling hard on the oars. The wind was blowing against them. Shortly before dawn, he went out to them. He walked on the lake. When he was about to pass by them,
  • Mark 6:49 - they saw him walking on the lake. They thought he was a ghost, so they cried out.
  • Mark 6:50 - They all saw him and were terrified. Right away Jesus said to them, “Be brave! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
  • Mark 6:51 - Then he climbed into the boat with them. The wind died down. And they were completely amazed.
  • Mark 4:39 - He got up and ordered the wind to stop. He said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down. And it was completely calm.
  • Mark 4:40 - He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Don’t you have any faith at all yet?”
  • Mark 4:41 - They were terrified. They asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
  • Luke 8:24 - The disciples went and woke Jesus up. They said, “Master! Master! We’re going to drown!” He got up and ordered the wind and the huge waves to stop. The storm quieted down. It was completely calm.
  • Luke 8:25 - “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. They were amazed and full of fear. They asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the waves, and they obey him.”
  • Psalm 89:9 - You rule over the stormy sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them down.
  • Matthew 6:30 - If that is how God dresses the wild grass, won’t he dress you even better? Your faith is so small! After all, the grass is here only today. Tomorrow it is thrown into the fire.
  • Psalm 107:28 - Then they cried out to the Lord because of their problems. And he brought them out of their troubles.
  • Psalm 107:29 - He made the storm as quiet as a whisper. The waves of the ocean calmed down.
  • Psalm 107:30 - The people were glad when the ocean became calm. Then he guided them to the harbor they were looking for.
  • Psalm 65:7 - You calmed the oceans and their roaring waves. You calmed the angry words and actions of the nations.
  • Isaiah 41:10 - So do not be afraid. I am with you. Do not be terrified. I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will hold you safe in my hands. I always do what is right.
  • Isaiah 41:11 - “All those who are angry with you will be put to shame. And they will be dishonored. Those who oppose you will be destroyed. And they will vanish.
  • Isaiah 41:12 - You might search for your enemies. But you will not find them. Those who go to war against you will completely disappear.
  • Isaiah 41:13 - I am the Lord your God. I take hold of your right hand. I say to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I will help you.’
  • Isaiah 41:14 - Family of Jacob, you are as weak as a worm. But do not be afraid. People of Israel, there are only a few of you. But do not be afraid. I myself will help you,” announces the Lord. He is the one who sets his people free. He is the Holy One of Israel.
