  • Ezekiel 18:21 - “But suppose a sinful person turns away from all the sins they have committed. And they obey all my rules. They do what is fair and right. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.
  • Jeremiah 7:5 - You must really change the way you live and act. Treat one another fairly.
  • Jeremiah 7:6 - Do not treat outsiders or widows badly in this place. Do not take advantage of children whose fathers have died. Do not kill those who are not guilty of doing anything wrong. Do not worship other gods. That will only bring harm to you.
  • Zechariah 8:16 - Here is what you must do. Speak the truth to one another. Make true and wise decisions in your courts.
  • Zechariah 8:17 - Do not make evil plans against one another. When you promise to tell the truth, do not lie. Many people love to do that. But I hate all these things,” announces the Lord.
  • Micah 6:8 - The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must act with justice. You must love to show mercy. And you must be humble as you live in the sight of your God.
  • Matthew 22:39 - And the second is like it. ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ( Leviticus 19:18 )
  • Matthew 22:40 - Everything that is written in the Law and the Prophets is based on these two commandments.”
  • 1 Timothy 1:5 - Love is the purpose of my command. Love comes from a pure heart. It comes from a good sense of what is right and wrong. It comes from faith that is honest and true.
  • Leviticus 19:18 - “ ‘Do not try to get even. Do not hold anything against any of your people. Instead, love your neighbor as you love yourself. I am the Lord.
  • Mark 12:29 - Jesus answered, “Here is the most important one. Moses said, ‘Israel, listen to me. The Lord is our God. The Lord is one.
  • Mark 12:30 - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind and with all your strength.’ ( Deuteronomy 6:4 , 5 )
  • Mark 12:31 - And here is the second one. ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ( Leviticus 19:18 ) There is no commandment more important than these.”
  • Mark 12:32 - “You have spoken well, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one. There is no other God but him.
  • Mark 12:33 - To love God with all your heart and mind and strength is very important. So is loving your neighbor as you love yourself. These things are more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
  • Mark 12:34 - Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely. He said to him, “You are not far from God’s kingdom.” From then on, no one dared to ask Jesus any more questions.
  • Galatians 5:13 - My brothers and sisters, you were chosen to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to live under the power of sin. Instead, serve one another in love.
  • Galatians 5:14 - The whole law is fulfilled by obeying this one command. “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” ( Leviticus 19:18 )
  • Romans 13:8 - Pay everything you owe. But you can never pay back all the love you owe one another. Whoever loves other people has done everything the law requires.
  • Romans 13:9 - Here are some commandments to think about. “Do not commit adultery.” “Do not commit murder.” “Do not steal.” “Do not want what belongs to others.” ( Exodus 20:13–15 , 17 ; Deuteronomy 5:17–19 , 21 ) These and all other commands are included in one command. Here’s what it is. “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” ( Leviticus 19:18 )
  • Romans 13:10 - Love does not harm its neighbor. So love does everything the law requires.
  • Luke 6:31 - Do to others as you want them to do to you.
