  • Mark 14:71 - Peter swore, “A curse on me if I’m lying—I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”
  • Mark 14:72 - And immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he broke down and wept.
  • Luke 22:54 - So they arrested him and led him to the high priest’s home. And Peter followed at a distance.

  • Luke 22:61 - At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”
  • Jonah 2:2 - He said, “I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble, and he answered me. I called to you from the land of the dead, and Lord, you heard me!

  • Jonah 2:7 - As my life was slipping away, I remembered the Lord. And my earnest prayer went out to you in your holy Temple.
  • John 18:25 - Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire warming himself, they asked him again, “You’re not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying, “No, I am not.”
  • John 18:26 - But one of the household slaves of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Didn’t I see you out there in the olive grove with Jesus?”
  • John 18:27 - Again Peter denied it. And immediately a rooster crowed.
  • Mark 14:38 - Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”
