  • Lamentations 4:17 - Our eyes failed, ever watching vainly for help; in our watching we watched for a nation which could not save.
  • Jeremiah 23:11 - “Both prophet and priest are ungodly; even in my house I have found their evil, declares the Lord.

  • Lamentations 2:20 - Look, O Lord, and see! With whom have you dealt thus? Should women eat the fruit of their womb, the children of their tender care? Should priest and prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?
