  • 1 Corinthians 15:6 - After that, he appeared to more than 500 brothers and sisters at the same time. Most of them are still living. But some have died.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:7 - He appeared to James. Then he appeared to all the apostles.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:8 - Last of all, he also appeared to me. I was like someone who wasn’t born at the right time.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:9 - I am the least important of the apostles. I’m not even fit to be called an apostle. I tried to destroy God’s church.
  • John 20:19 - On the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were together. They had locked the doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came in and stood among them. He said, “May peace be with you!”
  • John 20:20 - Then he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were very happy when they saw the Lord.
  • John 20:21 - Again Jesus said, “May peace be with you! The Father has sent me. So now I am sending you.”
  • John 20:22 - He then breathed on them. He said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
  • John 20:23 - If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
  • John 20:24 - Thomas was one of the 12 disciples. He was also called Didymus. He was not with the other disciples when Jesus came.
  • John 20:25 - So they told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “First I must see the nail marks in his hands. I must put my finger where the nails were. I must put my hand into his side. Only then will I believe.”
  • John 20:26 - A week later, Jesus’ disciples were in the house again. Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came in and stood among them. He said, “May peace be with you!”
  • John 20:27 - Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here. See my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
  • John 20:28 - Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
  • John 20:29 - Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen me but still have believed.”
  • John 17:5 - So now, Father, give glory to me in heaven where your throne is. Give me the glory I had with you before the world began.
  • John 16:5 - But now I am going to the one who sent me. None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’
  • John 16:10 - The world is guilty as far as godliness is concerned. That’s because I am going to the Father, where you can’t see me anymore.
  • John 13:3 - Jesus knew that the Father had put everything under his power. He also knew he had come from God and was returning to God.
  • John 12:35 - Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light. Do this before darkness catches up with you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.
  • John 13:33 - “My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me. Just as I told the Jews, so I am telling you now. You can’t come where I am going.
  • Mark 16:19 - When the Lord Jesus finished speaking to them, he was taken up into heaven. He sat down at the right hand of God.
  • John 14:18 - I will not leave you like children who don’t have parents. I will come to you.
  • John 14:19 - Before long, the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
  • John 14:20 - On that day you will realize that I am in my Father. You will know that you are in me, and I am in you.
  • John 14:21 - Anyone who has my commands and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the one who loves me. I too will love them. And I will show myself to them.”
  • John 14:22 - Then Judas spoke. “Lord,” he said, “why do you plan to show yourself only to us? Why not also to the world?” The Judas who spoke those words was not Judas Iscariot.
  • John 14:23 - Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them. We will come to them and make our home with them.
  • John 14:24 - Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. The words you hear me say are not my own. They belong to the Father who sent me.
  • John 16:17 - After they heard this, some of his disciples spoke to one another. They said, “What does he mean by saying, ‘In a little while, you will no longer see me. Then after a little while, you will see me’? And what does he mean by saying, ‘I am going to the Father’?”
  • John 16:18 - They kept asking, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We don’t understand what he is saying.”
  • John 16:19 - Jesus saw that they wanted to ask him about these things. So he said to them, “Are you asking one another what I meant? Didn’t you understand when I said, ‘In a little while, you will no longer see me. Then after a little while, you will see me’?
  • Hebrews 12:2 - Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the one who started this journey of faith. And he is the one who completes the journey of faith. He paid no attention to the shame of the cross. He suffered there because of the joy he was looking forward to. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
  • Acts 10:40 - But on the third day God raised him from the dead. God allowed Jesus to be seen.
  • Acts 10:41 - But he wasn’t seen by all the people. He was seen only by us. We are witnesses whom God had already chosen. We ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
  • Acts 1:3 - After his suffering and death, he appeared to them. In many ways he proved that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of 40 days. During that time he spoke about God’s kingdom.
  • John 16:28 - I came from the Father and entered the world. Now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”
  • John 16:22 - That’s the way it is with you. Now it’s your time to be sad. But I will see you again. Then you will be full of joy. And no one will take away your joy.
  • John 7:33 - Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time. Then I will go to the one who sent me.
